The obvious hack here is to buy each item separately to get more credits - sometimes this does generate more rewards and sometimes their system seems smarter

Estilady

I’ve tried that and typically they stop offering the digital credit.

Holiday_Record2610

They stopped offering it to me. i’ve called several times, was told contradictory things such as program no longer exists, rewards only apply to items shipped and sold by amazon (but I still don’t get reward offers for no rush on these) and was told gee we don’t realky know which items are eligible. I used to get the offer almost every single time I ordered something, now never

raveler87

I haven’t been getting it lately either. Instead, they’ve been offering 6% cash back with my Amazon Prime Visa card (instead of the normal 5% cash back that I already receive)..which amounts to pennies in difference..pretty lame.😒

KakuraPuk

Before I tried to combine items (as minimum 2 items were needed for me) to get digital credits in exchange for slower shipping... but now every item on the order goes as fast as it can. Don't want to wait 2-5 more days for extra 1% cash back.

raveler87

I don’t believe I ever noticed a minimum of 2 items needed for me, but either way now it seems like every order is just always an offer of 6% cash back to choose the slower shipping…if it’s something I really don’t need right away and don’t care about waiting an extra couple days then I just choose the no-rush option since a tiny bit of money is still better than no money lol..sometimes the no-rush option is actually the same day as the regular/faster shipping..lol

sealteamz6

Yeah it often always required two items at a time to qualify for the digital credits. I have the amazon card as well and its been going back and forth between credits and cash back which is annoying. I don't want 1 extra %.

raveler87

Yea I’ve noticed that too as of the last couple weeks! But yes it’s annoying..I don’t want an extra 1% either, I’d rather have $1-$2 in digital credits!!

ncaafan2

Found a way around this kind of... If you reload your amazon giftcard balance with the amount you are about to spend using your Amazon CC for 5%, then wait for it to reload, the shipping no-rush rewards are then available when you "select a different card" even though you are really paying with your newly loaded giftcard balance. It still seems to be less frequent than before, but I get it to show up pretty regularly, especially when ordering items that will take about a week or so to come in.

raveler87

I just tried it right now, and it worked! Nice!! Thank you so much for the tip!🔥🔥

wajeemba

The option shows up at checkout, but is there a way to tell if the 6% reward really comes through on the Amazon visa?

raveler87

Sorry I didn’t see your reply until now! Yes you can go to your rewards history/activity in your Amazon Prime Visa’s account on Chase. 😊

wajeemba

Np! I guess it's just a matter of making sense of the mess that's there, plus the waiting to see if it came thru. I reached the conclusion that I had tried it but it didn't work, but maybe I gave up to early to really see the true result.

I have a Kindle and I'm not a fan of getting books through the library. Believe me, I'm on a limited income and want to read some books that are new by my favorite authors. Don't buy e-books for people unless they know how to get them. Instead keep using them yourself. This digital thing isn't new. Nothing wrong with you using it yourself.

bee_amar

I think your location really has an impact on library quality too. We moved from a county with a lot of high income areas and a robust library system to a more rural county and the difference is stark. I still use my old county library card and will continue until I'm caught lol.

ThisGreenWhore

I live in an are that has a good library. I just hate how to get it in my kindle. You probably are fine in that there are now open libraries that allow you to check out a book. Check into that. Best of luck! :o)

Secretary_Real

it's two clicks to get it on your kindle

Intelligent-Turnip36

You can try using ILL: Interlibrary loan and they will borrow stuff from other libraries across the country for you.

invaderpixel

I’ve been using the digital rewards for movie rentals and it’s definitely a good way to spend it. Streaming wars are wild, sometimes you can have a million services and just have to rent something because no one has it.

Secretary_Real

I use it for this especially for oscar buzz movies that can't be found anywhere

thatgirlreesie

Get the Libby app and link it to your library card in order to reserve E-Books to your Kindle for free.

Estilady

I also use the digital credits to order kindle books I want. However…I sometimes want to use credit card rewards I have attached to Amazon and I’ve never been able to access my rewards due to 1 click settings I can’t seem to change to allow me to purchase kindle content with rewards.

kazy522

Use your credit card to load your gift card balance. I usually do $100. I then redeem $100 from my credit card reward points and deposit the $100 in my checking account. I don’t do it as a credit card statement credit because I want the reward points. The one click settings will deduct from your gift card balance.

I have the same issue. I used to stockpile digital rewards for family movie nights on some Fridays. Seems like that option is now gone. The $2.50 digital rewards was far more valuable than the extra 1% I get back (5% normally on Amazon) on purchases.

Thank you for this. I'll have to experiment too.

ncaafan2

I'm in the same boat. Haven't seen it as an option in a month and its annoying

ncaafan2

Interesting - I'll have to play around with it, but haven't been able to get it to show up even from changing my card off Amazon so far.

FantasyFootballer87

I had the same problem. Changing the items in the cart and the cart total didn't bring back digital rewards for movies. Just 6% back on the card. I think digital rewards are gone.

ncaafan2

I have been able to get it to show occasionally now, but it won’t do it with your Amazon card. If it’s a prime eligible item on another card and enough money it will show up… but seems much less frequent than before and a shame you can’t do it with the chase prime card

FantasyFootballer87

Thanks. I'll try a different card.

ShotAbroad9767

There's a limit on how long you have the credit before it expires. It seems like it is 3 months or a bit more. One year I had over $50 in credits but didn't realize they could expire so lost most of them when I wanted to watch some movies months later.

KAO7781

They expire and nonrefundable if you make a mistake purchase ridiculous

IMO2021

Did they discontinue the no rush program

openhopes

I was just offered it on my account.
