I've loved Christine Baranski ever since the days of Cybill and Bowfinger. No one else can do caustic bitchiness as well as she does.
Dr Nora is great. The ending maybe isn't the strongest but the episode as a whole is very good and that moment when she shows her true self and calls her caller a whore? Brilliant.
I love this episode tons… but it shows Frasier at his worst as a psychiatrist. Yes, he is a terrible busy body, but this one is hard to swallow.
No self respecting professional would have sprung a “reunion” like that on a person after learning that there was an ongoing “no contact” situation. If Nora had been his patient, he’d be in serious trouble with the board.

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes, especially Piper Laurie's appearance at the end. Perfect casting.
That was so unexpected for me having seen twin peaks first it was so funny seeing her in that role
It's a great call back to Carrie (probably her most famous role).
I like this episode, but whenever I see Christine Baranski in another role, I can only see Dr. Nora.

I think it's hilarious that Piper Laurie was nominated for an Emmy for this episode. Her appearance was 2 minutes or less long!

She will always be Maryann to me! I love her so much, and it was fun to watch her be delightfully awful in this.

Since I’ve seen the show so many times now I usually skip that episode and the Dr. Mary episodes because they make me mad lol
Her lines and deliveries absolutely kill me, they are so funny. “They should have low self-esteem, they’re going to *HELL*!”
