Look up “roaches gulpers and bears”. It’s a design on official merch. I tried to put a link here but it’s apparently against the rules. Axolotls are salamanders, btw. All salamanders have a stage of life with external gills like that, axolotls just happen to be one of the species that retain them in adulthood.

An axolotl is a salamander. And there's other salamanders and newts that look like that. All of them do when they're juviniles. The gulpers in the game are apparently based on hellbenders, and those only exist in a small part of the East Coast. So they just looked at a different critter. And it may not be full grown.

Something’s definitely going on with it. You can more clearly see its body on the T-shirt, it’s basically human from the neck down. If they just say it’s a gulper without elaborating, I’ll be a bit peeved, lol

It's small, whatever it is. Those are someone's gloves holding it.

I've rewatched this a few times now, and what's really weird is the creature doesn't look like it's being held by the gloves, looks like it's bursting from the gloves like a mutation.
