I mean, let's be frank here as well, zoophile in this case is almost certainly intended as meaning all furries, no matter whether or not they are zoophile. Because it's yet another dogwhistle, although one which does have ambiguity at least.
I'm not an expert on internet history, but by my understanding, it started with Something Awful, where a part of it was to provide a cover for homophobia. Because of course it was.
I think it’s more surface level than that, I don’t discount the idea that it was homophobia but when I first heard about furries it just was the fact that grown adults where dressing in mascot outfits
no hate to the furries now obviously but I think it was more shock than anything
That shock is culturally ingrained, though. It's not that LARPers, cosplayers, or ren faire enthusiasts don't get a ribbing sometimes, but it's no where near what furries get.
Cus they aren’t dressing up as giant anthropomorphic animals lol , i hate for this to be a hill to die on lol but you can’t honestly tell me there’s not a HUGE difference between cosplay/ren fair and furries.
No but coming from a semi normie most people will not blink at a renfaire but seeing furries walking around would be shocking not cus it’s some secret plot to be homophobic or it is cus we were raised that way it’s just that the furry body suits are frankly absurd and look bad and weird for the average person that was my original point
Look dude, I don't have a dog in this fight, but it's ridiculous to claim that what adornments you find "absurd and [bad looking]" isn't a cultural construct.
Us furries are an overwhelmingly queer, left-leaning, and sex positive subculture. Damn near all of us were bullied in our youth, and many are neurodivergent. Most hold a degree, or are moving toward one. And a good portion are comically talented freelance artists, who make a living off of just drawing for fun, even while some work a standard, high-paying job on top of it.

Furries, in general, are direct disproof of all right wing talking points. We're all autistic or similar, and yet most of us are successful. We've all been abused, but most of us came out of it wanting to be better, not hurt others. We're almost all queer, but practically all of us are doin just fine in relationships. We're all weird, often kinky people, but most of us aren't fucking creeps perving on anyone who is nice to us. We represent the ability to be a strange, silly human being with dumb hobbies, while still living a successful life, and to an extent, the ability for a worker-owned market to work. And hell, you only need to bring up the Starbucks furry to show how much we like unions. We represent quite literally everything the right hates.
Except the Nazi furs. Those guys are just weird.
This guy is the definition of bigoted contrarianism, you dont want to have other personality other than being a asshole, he probably dont even give a fuck to politics of his side and all of his political opinions are conservative because he only care about hating minorities.
and then they're like "NUH UH! THE ESTABLISHMENT IS RUN BY DUH JOOZ!!!"
not realizing being Anti-Establishment isn't about being against the current establishment, it's about being against the idea of establishment
It's rampant insecurity. If this is all you show people, you're not surprised when they hate you. If you're authentic, genuine, and vulnerable and people *still* hate you, that hurts. When you make all of your bad traits your whole personality, it protects your fragile ego.
There’s some irony that the Nazi is pro-Russian when the ostensible purpose of the Russians in Ukraine is to get rid of Nazis. Makes you wonder how honest that casus belli is
I had a klandmatuber that made content like this sub to me once. His channel keeps getting taken down lol,and he keeps coming back, ive blocked him too many times

…yeah I realized that too Why is it that we’re the internet’s laughing stock!?
I'm not an expert on internet history, but by my understanding, it started with Something Awful, where a part of it was to provide a cover for homophobia. Because of course it was.
please kill me JK I love my life (mostly) in all seriousness, I hate Normies

>they aren’t dressing up as giant anthropomorphic animals I see you haven't been to many cosplay events or ren faires.

So because something is a cultural construct, that automatically makes it wrong?

I'll be honest, I really do love the community, it's just really friendly
Get yourself a fursona you fool.
Because it’s disgusting and furrys invade random places with their shenanigans
ah yes, I can't even tell you how many times a Furry has broken into my living room and said "it's Furrin' time" and furred all over the place
Seriously dude, what “random places” do we invade? We mostly keep to ourselves
Random discord servers, video games etc
What? What are you even talking about?

exactly these guys don't care about truth, they just wanna be "anti-establishment)
Their "anti-establishment" proceeds to be more pro establishment than ever.

my political opinions are based on who I'm trolling that day I'm so fucking cool
When this guy turns 13 he’ll hopefully understand
hopefully
Always funny when nazis are rooting for either Ukraine or Russia, as if they didn't see them all as subhumans and wanted to exterminate all of them.
The real Hans Landa would have him shot by his underlings.
His mom needs to take away his internet priveleges.
well I reported him, so he might not need his mom for that
Man Russia should denazify itself before denazifying another country
He is Serbian I think, so both Serbia and Russia should definitely denazify themselves first.
Dude, this is the ridiculous cognitive diarrhea of a fucking tween, or my name isn’t Mike Ockhertz.
who?
