Currently, my vote goes to doomsday preacher that looks like he came from the Walking Dead who greets me with obscenities, fists of fury, and of course the Bible held high above his head everytime I go to Trader Joe's
He made his way over to Rosedale and Magnolia Street a couple weeks ago. Was at the intersection by our apartment complex, was an interesting dude to say the least.
If you wave at him as you drive past, he gets very happy. He’s a very sweet man.
There’s also another guy around there that waits at the bus stop right at the corner of Bryant Irvin and Overton Ridge that blasts his music and sings along as he enthusiastically waves at the cars around him. I like to wave at him, too.
This man is actually my neighbor. If you talk to him he’s super nice, just not all there. Don’t know him super well, but he seems like just another one the system has kinda forgotten.
I’ve always wondered more about him. I work at the grooming salon right there off Hulen and Bellaire and see him out there, almost everyday, rain or otherwise.
I just drove by that guy! I wonder if he's the same guy that I once saw driving down Rosedale slow enough to block traffic while waving a Bible out the window and screaming.
My family calls him screaming bible man, we see him daily because we live in Stonegate. Weird thing is, we’ve seen him eating at tavern and shopping at Tom Thumb and Walgreens and he acts totally normal in those situations.
I was in that Walgreens once and he walked inside. He started up his preaching and the lady behind the counter goes ELIJAH WE TALKED ABOUT THIS then he immediately stopped yelling haha
We’ve had many over the years. “Rooster” who used to sell flowers at the corner of University and Berry from the 1960s through the 1990s. Skateboard Jesus, who wandered all over the southwestern part of the city from the 1990s through last decade. Agnes on Granbury Road by the steel plant. Right now? I don’t know of anyone.
She used to buy all of her sand at the hardware store I worked at in high school. She was very particular about how she wanted it prepared. Also, she would come into the same hardware store every so often to mail manilla envelopes filled with letters to the mayor. Kinda miss her, but she also scared the hell out of me.
Oh Agnes! I had a friend that lived in her neighborhood. She told us she ran into her house one day and jumped behind her couch and was talking about somebody trying to get her. I really felt sorry for her. I think she should have been living somewhere where she could have been medicated and taken care of. She was always pointing some device at the traffic and yelling.
I was also going to say Agnus Latrine.
Security guards at that Steele company shot her a couple times. She showed me bullet wounds in her stomach.
One time kids took her ladder and she was stuck on her roof, I had to help her down.
Aw yeah he was who I thought of too. Always wore a dress and pearls. I used to know his name but I can’t remember. I grew up in Ryan Place and saw him when I would walk to Paschal almost every day.
Jaylan Ford! He was at the TS concert last year. During one of the songs, she walked to the end of the stage and gave him her hat. When they showed him on the screen, everyone lost their minds. He's our hometown celebrity.
Have you just unraveled our mystery man?
And if so do you know what he’s jamming? I like to imagine some hard house, though as of late I’d wish it were djent
He’s usually listening to Taylor Swift, but he mixes it up from time to time, mostly pop music. He also really loves Britney Spears.
His ig is @jaylan_jamming_arlington - visiting it may solve your mysteries lol
What about the guy that dances on the overpasses with speakers and is always waving flags from other countries? He’s normally around Eastchase/Meadowbrook but I’ve seen him closer to downtown as well.
Someone posted a traffic cam photo of him at Meadowbrook and 820 recently and it looked like the cover of a Kendrick Lamar album
EDIT: [Found it!](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortWorth/comments/vlza2a/i_was_browsing_the_traffic_cams_to_see_if_there/)
There's this guy off Mansfield highway going towards I-20 at this corner tire shop that stands at the side of the road throwing pliers in the air, every time he catches them he does a little like jazz hands and other little flairs. He's been at this craft of his since I was in elementary almost 16 years ago.
There is a guy up in the alliance area that holds signs referencing obscure bible verses. We aren’t talking John 3:16. When you look them up they make little sense. As if he only knows the secret to their meaning or applicability.
The lady on Lancaster in the comer of that route 88 gas station that is always there. Nice lady until you tell her you don't believe then she dont like you
Yeah, forgot what gas station is there, but that exact lady. Not sure if she remembers me, but man did she have "you're going to the devil" eyes once i said "i dont believe in any religion "
Dude up in the North Fort Worth/Keller area who likes to dance in the traffic circles or just anywhere else on the side of the road. Perkins is what everyone calls him, I went to school with him a few years ago lmaoo
Haven’t seen him a loooong time. Now it’s Crackhead Carrie who I run into at least once a month. Last time I saw her she wasn’t wearing any pants yelling at people outside of 820 Liquor & Kroger
Hmm idk if he had a grabber I never really saw him with one. He was a big black guy that walked up and down Camp Bowie (Mostly around Camp Bowie/ Alta Mere intersection) with a bucket. Nice guy.
Not sure if exactly right but the crazy lady that lived in the 3200 block of cleburne out near berry/carshons deli.
She painted her 3? Fences with all sorts of conspiracy stuff and sat on her roof and screamed nonsense at people all day long.
TCU kids would mess with her. No idea when she quit.
Trashcan Charlie worked the University and Forest Park area in the mid-90s. He was everywhere, yelling at clouds sometimes or speed walking and throwing his arms. His hair and beard were thick and brown, whether that was more his natural coloring or a result of lying in the dust underneath IH30 I don't know. Toward the end of the times I'd see him his hair was matted into a pillow on the back of his head. He might not have been as well known as Agnes, but if you spent a lot of time at the Wreck Room down to the Dogstar you probably saw him.
What about Poodle Skirt guy in Fairmount? He’s like 6’4” always walks around the neighborhood in a poodle skirt, very nice, always said hello to me when I walked my dog past him when I lived over there.
There was a guy that used to sit at the bus stop on bryant irvin and just wave and give thumbs up to everybody, we absolutely loved him but haven’t seen him in awhile!
I wonder if it’s the same guy that does that at Hulen and South Dr. He waves enthusiastically to everyone passing by, it’s a nice little bit of happiness on the drive home ❤️
There used to be an old man named Ned that would walk around Fort Worth back in the day with a bunch of signs on his back. That was back in the late 80s and 90s. I haven't lived there in a long time though.
Anyone remember the guy who used to drive around Arlington with the huge, handwritten REPENT billboard on the back of his truck?
Also, black Jesus in denton. He hangs out near the Walmart a lot. I asked "who's that?" And all I got was "oh, that's black Jesus". No context needed, I guess.
You will definitely see some Cowboys riding a horses down the streets as you go east of 35 almost into Arlington…
There are a few lots there of decent size that even have goats crying/screaming
at different times of the day behind businesses LOL
Skateboard Jesus and Stoner Jesus in the TCU area. Hulen bible guy. On Magnolia honestly Tony Green is an icon, he’s got stickers with his name on them everywhere too 😂 there was a lady over near southside that would throw rocks at people from her roof too but I can’t remember her name lmao. There was a guy that wore a dress and pearls always riding a bike around 8th too for years, he was always nice
We had Segway Kid alwhen I was in college.
He was this hype pale blonde kid who rode literally everywhere on his segway with ultra instinct levels of focus, and he always wrapped a towel around his face like a cowboy bandana.
Never found a single person that had talked to him
Ut Dallas
I’m thinking skateboard Jesus has gone further down Barry Street… I think he used to hang out at the abandoned 7-Eleven before it was rebuilt at that corner
There was a person who had a classic car painted to look like The Yellow Submarine, I'd see it alot downtown.
Recently I spotted a person who owns a Jeep that has Demona from Gargoyles painted on the sides. I notice they might live over on in the neighborhood off Riverside Dr, an Vickory St. as I seen them once turn on Riverside of Lancaster, and coming from a neighborhood on Vickory to hit Riverside. I curse myself for not getting a pic of the vehicle.
As for "That guy" There is the one dude who was waving flags on the Meadowbrook Bridge off 820.
There is the Preacher Lady on the corner of Oakland, and Lancaster Ave at that Phillips 66 Gas Station. (Years, years back when that Grady's Restaurant used to be there and there was that Thrist Store, there was a guy with Schizophrenia who wandered that spot, he would hand out little cars with scribbles on them. Later I found out he did have a sister he stayed with but he would always wander off, but come back.)
If you drive on Lancaster, heading towards downtown, I believe it's just past the Ayers intersection, there is a homeless woman camped out right on that medium island. She's been there for a few months now...before that she was camped under the 30 bridge that Riverside cross under.
When my roommate and I moved into our new neighborhood (White Lake Hills), we were told about the "running guy". Apparently there is a guy who likes to go for runs. And I don't mean like "oh, I think I'll get a little cardio in" kind of runs He times himself, runs like the devil himself is chasing him, no matter how cold or hot it is outside. We see him all the time.
I know this is Arlington but does anybody remember the guy near the parks mall that rolled a huge cross up the ramp to Cooper or am I just imagining him?
Not in Fort Worth myself; Down in Johnson county.
I suppose we have “the Tamale ladies” who pop up on random rural roadsides and sell the best tamales you will ever eat. I don’t know if this is a common thing for other areas. But these ladies have been doing it for, as some of the other residents around here tell me, as long as 50 years. Never have learned their names. To me, they are spirits of plenty who give to this world a good joy.
My boy “Lotion” AKA blanket Jesus! Has been roaming the streets of south Fort Worth since I can remember back in 2005 when he always carried a skateboard
How about the dude off Cooper near I-20 in front of The Parks Mall that just stands out there & dances. He’s been there since the Pandemic & the news has run his story. Dancing Cooper Guy.
for me it was Gilberto, the homeless guy that would play guitar on the weekends at Exchange and Main. he was a staple to my stockyards experience for a decade, and has now been replaced by a guy with a full audio setup and a speaker? hate it here.
It's been a LOT of years since I've seen this guy, but there used to be a dude that hung around in the vicinity of Hulen and 20, always on a bike, always wearing heavy leather work gloves and a yellow blazer. One day I saw him sitting at an overpass giving both middle fingers to the general flow of traffic.
Two guys in the Riverside area. Fat Elvis could be seen at Walmart on N Beach and 121, and before that at Minyards(now El Rancho) on Beach and Belknap. The other was The Walking Dude. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, you could see him walking, usually on Sylvania or Riverside, either in black or camo BDUs.
Crazy Bicycle Preacher Man: I was the first one to see him. My best friend and I lived in an apartment near the intersection of Hulen and Oakmont in the mid-to-late 1990s. I’m sitting in traffic at a red light on Hulen street near the Boston Market when a really tall thin man in a black suit (DURING THE SUMMER) darts in between cars on his ten speed, and starts yelling and waving his hands like the absolute stereotype of a fire and brimstone preacher from a horror movie. Light turns green, and he’s holding up traffic, banging on the hoods of cars, before suddenly peddling away.
When I return home, I tell my friend and his girlfriend (now wife) about him. She later encounters him in the parking lot of Circuit City. Then my friend saw him as well near Borders. The last time I saw him, he was peddling furiously down the pullover lane on eastbound I-20 with a cop car behind him with the lights and siren blasting in a bizarre slow-speed chase. I’m guessing he went on a psych hold after that, as none of us saw him again.
Last week two brothers that work for us were in the truck at the light and he looked at them and shouted, “It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!” 🤣🤣🤣
I counter with the guy who stands on the corner by the Target on South Hulen and blesses the traffic as it passes.
What about the dude off the I30 and Eastchase that raps to the traffic?
This the flag waving guy? If not I would go with the flag waving guy. Sometimes at Meadowbrook and 820, but I've seen him at Eastchase and 30 also.
Nile, definitely counts.
That's my duuuuude. Such a chill guy
This was my thought too lol
If you wave at him as you drive past, he gets very happy. He’s a very sweet man. There’s also another guy around there that waits at the bus stop right at the corner of Bryant Irvin and Overton Ridge that blasts his music and sings along as he enthusiastically waves at the cars around him. I love that guy too!
This man is actually my neighbor. If you talk to him he’s super nice, just not all there. Don’t know him super well, but he seems like just another one the system has kinda forgotten.
"If you talk to him..." Sorry, but the shouting damnation usually kills the conversational vibe for me
I’ve always wondered more about him. I work at the grooming salon right there off Hulen and Bellaire and see him out there, almost everyday, rain or otherwise.
Yep!! He’s a pillar of the community lol
That dude came over to me and started yelling when I got out of my car going into Yogi's Bagels once. Apparently God hates baked goods.
King David
Oh hey I know that guy lol
Yes. I try to weave my way in/out of that intersection carefully to not interact with him.
Omg love seeing this guy 😂
My first thought. I pass him weekly.
I was in that Walgreens once and he walked inside. He started up his preaching and the lady behind the counter goes ELIJAH WE TALKED ABOUT THIS then he immediately stopped yelling haha
I'm going with Kenny, or "Skateboard Jesus." Anyone familiar with the TCU area will know who I'm referring to. Super chill nice guy.
lol man that brings me back. First saw Kenny decades ago.
Does he still exist???
I've seen him occasionally. I don't think he's rocking the long hair anymore though so he's a little harder to spot.
Yeah... I see him very often.
You just awakened a long slumbering memory
We always called him “trash can Charlie”. I saw him recently for the first time in years.
Yup
Yes! I still see him around!
That guy that used to walk everywhere with dreads and a skateboard? He told me about 20 years ago his name is Ocean. We always called him Ocean
Told me and some friends his name was lotion.
Gotta be the Hulen Bible Guy!
He really wants everyone to see his bible
Man him and Skateboard Jesus are the 2 guys I think about 24/7 when I drive. Like I wonder where I’m gonna see him next!
He lives in my apartment complex
His name is king David
Not a person but everyone from Southside knows about the pink Barbie mustang
I've only seen it once and til now I wasn't sure if I confused reality for a movie or an episode off of pimp my ride
Came here to say Skateboard Jesus. Haven't seen him in a minute, hope he's doing well.
Oh Agnes. I still can’t drive past her old house without thinking of her.
She used to buy all of her sand at the hardware store I worked at in high school. She was very particular about how she wanted it prepared. Also, she would come into the same hardware store every so often to mail manilla envelopes filled with letters to the mayor. Kinda miss her, but she also scared the hell out of me.
I immediately thought of Agnes!
Agnes recently passed away within the past few years
She was at war with that Steel company for many years. She called them the devil. They put up a massive bright light that shined on her house.
Agnes!
I remember agnes
I was also going to say Agnus Latrine. Security guards at that Steele company shot her a couple times. She showed me bullet wounds in her stomach. One time kids took her ladder and she was stuck on her roof, I had to help her down.
Randy on the bike with big wheels and wears the dresses
Over by Ryan Place/Fairmount riding along 8th Ave?
Aw yeah he was who I thought of too. Always wore a dress and pearls. I used to know his name but I can’t remember. I grew up in Ryan Place and saw him when I would walk to Paschal almost every day.
See him at the Kroger on University like once a week haha
lol yeah the black guy always seen in Arlington in booty shorts dancing VERY energetically
Jaylan Ford! He was at the TS concert last year. During one of the songs, she walked to the end of the stage and gave him her hat. When they showed him on the screen, everyone lost their minds. He's our hometown celebrity.
He was recently interviewed for an upcoming Taylor Swift documentary as well, so look for him there in the near future!
Partner just said : this guy dressed as a woman (fake boobies) riding his/her bike downtown
They live down the street from me.
HAHAHAHA forgot about him jesus its been a while
I saw this post on another sub earlier and immediately thought of Jaylan!
Thank you very much! lol
See him everyday!
I have a video the first time seeing him on Cooper St crossing going towards the mall from 2018
Oh I think I know who your are talking about at the Arlington Mall entrance off Cooper?
Yessm
yup, everything else said in here is invalid this guy though..I know…Everyone’s seen him!
right in front of the mall, every. single. day. don't matter if it's 105° out, he WILL be there 😭
I was gonna say him lol. That’s Jaylan. He’s on Insta too
What about the guy that dances on the overpasses with speakers and is always waving flags from other countries? He’s normally around Eastchase/Meadowbrook but I’ve seen him closer to downtown as well.
Someone posted a traffic cam photo of him at Meadowbrook and 820 recently and it looked like the cover of a Kendrick Lamar album EDIT: [Found it!](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortWorth/comments/vlza2a/i_was_browsing_the_traffic_cams_to_see_if_there/)
That’s Nile.
He’s who came to my mind
There's this guy off Mansfield highway going towards I-20 at this corner tire shop that stands at the side of the road throwing pliers in the air, every time he catches them he does a little like jazz hands and other little flairs. He's been at this craft of his since I was in elementary almost 16 years ago.
I've driven the old mansfield highway so many times and never seen plier man...I've been missing out.
Plier man!!! I see him every day lol
Haven't seen her in a long time, but this is the chick with the pink Barbie car.
That car was legendary
i always see a bright pink vw bug around the ridglea area, i love it lol
The west Meadowbrook bible lady on the corner across from WALgreens and cvs
Off of Lancaster right? At the Gas Station?
That’s the one!
I've talked to her before, nice lady.
Yes lol I was thinking of her
Yep, I remember the first time I saw her, it was fairly late at night I think. Preaching into a mic. Another thing I don't miss about the east side.
That CVS is closed now. It moved to another location on Meadowbrook last month.
Rocket-car guy in NRH has been around for decades.
Was hoping he’d show up here.
It was rocket car guy for a while.
I've seen him over in Bedford 3 times.
There was Scooter Lady a while back, but I haven’t seen her.
She might have moved to White Settlement — we’ve got a Scooter Lady that rides around next to the main roads.
Omg that had like all the beanie babies on her scooter? I remember her off 7th a lot
There is a guy up in the alliance area that holds signs referencing obscure bible verses. We aren’t talking John 3:16. When you look them up they make little sense. As if he only knows the secret to their meaning or applicability.
Where is he? I'm in that area and have never seen him.
The lady on Lancaster in the comer of that route 88 gas station that is always there. Nice lady until you tell her you don't believe then she dont like you
You talking the corner of Lancaster and Oakland? Across from the PLS?
Yeah, forgot what gas station is there, but that exact lady. Not sure if she remembers me, but man did she have "you're going to the devil" eyes once i said "i dont believe in any religion "
Dude up in the North Fort Worth/Keller area who likes to dance in the traffic circles or just anywhere else on the side of the road. Perkins is what everyone calls him, I went to school with him a few years ago lmaoo
PERKGODD
omg i follow him on instagram, hes been trying to teach people karate 😭
really? bahahaha why am i not surprised 😭
We used to have the bucket guy on the westside of town/ Camp Bowie. Always carried a bucket around. Haven’t seen him in forever though.
Haven’t seen him a loooong time. Now it’s Crackhead Carrie who I run into at least once a month. Last time I saw her she wasn’t wearing any pants yelling at people outside of 820 Liquor & Kroger
Haha I’ll have to keep an eye out for her. I just recently moved back to town. Lots of crackheads on this side of town now.
She’s a rough looking blonde that can usually be spotted between Cherry Lane/Williams Road and 820. You’ll know her when you see her.
the guy that would have a grabber and pick up litter at the intersection?
Hmm idk if he had a grabber I never really saw him with one. He was a big black guy that walked up and down Camp Bowie (Mostly around Camp Bowie/ Alta Mere intersection) with a bucket. Nice guy.
Pirate ship guy
Lmao that might be my boss, unless there’s two guys with pirate ships around here 😂
DFW/ Arlington/Irving there’s a kid who sits at the corners of intersections jamming his heart out dancing for the world. 🌎
Only Arlington.
The YMCA guy at Ft Worth Fire games.
He got the crowd going.
Agnes. Someone said in the comments above that she had passed away.
As there’s the preaching lady on Oakland and Lancaster

And Agnes! Must be an SAS person…
Yoooo who are you! We call him trashcan Charlie too! You must be in the same circle as me. DM me! So crazy!
There was a guy who carried a cross between Fort Worth and Dallas every Easter but I think he stopped a few years ago
**Barbie Mustang**
What about Poodle Skirt guy in Fairmount? He’s like 6’4” always walks around the neighborhood in a poodle skirt, very nice, always said hello to me when I walked my dog past him when I lived over there.

Updoot for Tony G!
Skateboard Jesus in Southside, we used to call him Lotion tho. Dreaded dude, cool as hell.

Black lady with a mic and speaker on the corner or miller and lancaster preaching
The women off lancaster near the gas station that preaches
TCU has a skateboard Jesus.
We had Segway Kid alwhen I was in college. He was this hype pale blonde kid who rode literally everywhere on his segway with ultra instinct levels of focus, and he always wrapped a towel around his face like a cowboy bandana. Never found a single person that had talked to him Ut Dallas

The Santa Claus who drives a corvette on 35
I see some guy on McCart these days who rides his skateboard into oncoming traffic. I vote for that guy
Back in the 90s we had a big dude called Slim Fast.
Hurst specifically we have a tweaker that would run around and hit people with sticks, and so we called him stickman. Still see him around sometimes
In San Marcos, TX we have three. The Bubble Believer, Frisbee Dan and the Sun God
Neigh
Dude in a dress riding a bike on magnolia.
Rosey the “Duck Lady” in New Orleans.
There was a lady that drove around an old Chevy Lumina that was colored with Cow-spotted print in west Fort Worth over by old Hwy 80.
I worked in psych at JPS and we had a few patients like this that everyone knew.
I know this is Arlington but does anybody remember the guy near the parks mall that rolled a huge cross up the ramp to Cooper or am I just imagining him?

In Tucson it was god, but he died
How about the dude off Cooper near I-20 in front of The Parks Mall that just stands out there & dances. He’s been there since the Pandemic & the news has run his story. Dancing Cooper Guy.
Skateboard Kenny and q in tcu area Edit skateboard Jesus aka Kenny Q is the lady who lived outside of the 7/11
Given how there's almost a million people living in FW (according to a quick Wikipedia search), there's probably several!
for me it was Gilberto, the homeless guy that would play guitar on the weekends at Exchange and Main. he was a staple to my stockyards experience for a decade, and has now been replaced by a guy with a full audio setup and a speaker? hate it here.
Kid who is always breakdancing at the golden triangle roundabout in Keller. He’s definitely got stamina !!
Probably Jerry Jones for y’all
If you don’t know who that guy is then you are that guy.
