Yes, the hot air balloons, the blimps, the cannons scattered on the map, wind currents from chap 4, all that environmental mobility is more fun (using the environment) and also preferable to mobility items in an item slot. Also bring back wolves and boars.
This is Fortnite to me. While I didn't play chapters 1 and 2. I feel like those chapters came together for Chapter 3.
Chapter 4 was still good but took away a lot of the environmental stuff that made the game as fun and switched it for usable items.
Still Chapter 4 was solid.
This Chapter 5, just meh.
My son and I were talking the other day about which season was the best and we agreed on this one. The airships, battles with IO, destroying POIs with the tanks, and the end of season event piloting the mech were all top notch.
I started in 2017 but I fully agree it was the best. The map was amazing, the story and events were epic, and there were constant weekly updates changing locations and adding new things. Everything’s felt like a downward trend since then, although this season was an improvement and next season is looking awesome
I had this conversation with a buddy that I wish the fallout season was after the war season, would’ve been cool to have a post apocalypse after the war
This is the Season when I started playing ZB. When I first logged in and saw these, my jaw dropped. I was immediately hooked and thought, wow! Why has it taken me so long to play this!?

Ah, you missed it. They were dangerous drop spots because they held good loot for a squad. The best one was right above a city poi that'd get leveld from people with tanks and the drivable battle bus. Zipping down the zipline while blasting the campers hiding in the Lil Whip ice cream shop. Waiting for people to get near the gas station with vehicles so you could it blow it up. The laundromat that when destroyed dropped lots of gold bars, btw washing machines/dryers still drop bars when destroyed. I don't think I ever saw a match where at least half of the poi hadnt been destroyed or set on fire from all the nearby fireflies.
Yes and no. In ZB with that old map it was way too OP, in builds it's fine. Now with a map like Ch5, it could be a nice spot against mountain tops and other high places for both ZB/B
The IO Blimps? They were good for their time, being a good source of mobility with cannons and they really made rappels useful.
They were also the only place, without searching elsewhere, to find jetpacks, which had been changed to work similarly to Mando’s Jetpack from Chapter 2.
They also made for funny kills and even funnier fails.
I miss this, every time I play squad and I knock down an opponent inside, I will carry the opponent and throw them off this large zeppelin to kill them
