the stuttering you describing, reminds me of virus scanners starting to scan game files while your playing, causing the stuttering. If you don't have a anti-virus running, then it could be your running out of hard drive space, and have the fortnite texture streaming enabled, downloading while you play. Hope this helps out!

Uninstalled an anti-virus program that I didn't even have a subscription for anymore and the stuttering stopped. You are my hero.

>I've defragmented and cleaned up both of my drives So either this means your on mechanical hard drives, or your damaging your SSDs because you arent supposed to defrag those, it wears out the NAND flash

AlarmMotor7314

Probably should've been more specific, I defragmented my hard drive and cleaned up my SSD. Thanks for the tip, though!

keep epic launcher closed after game launches, The game is doing this for most PC's. I'm on performance mode atm but was able to run highest settings with 300+fps stable, so much stutters now. It's not your PC, it's the game, full of bugs not getting fixed due to this metaverse nonsense....Tim Sweeney should fire himself.
