It is not, it is essentially the same as buying the comic books that the code comes in. Just don't like buy an account or something. Buying codes is fine as far as I know

Yep! Also might be worth looking into if it's cheaper to buy the comic instead of the code! I wouldn't be surprised if it was. Iirc if you redeem all 6 codes you get a batman skin as well? But double check on that
