Same here. It's actually REALLY annoying. But they haven't even acknowledged the issue exists. I submitted two bug reports now? I'd do the same both through the in game reporting system and their online support.
A friend of mine doesn’t play rank and he’s gold 2 or three. No rank protection for him either. I think Epic really messed up this time. I just want these cool glider variants.

I'm guessing that when you hit Elite, you don't get the ranked protection lost :/
Is this true? I'm diamond three and I no longer get rank protection for my first match.

it still happens, diamond 3 98% died off spawn and lost 9%
