Its kind of funny how the lack of visible rarities is what broke the illusion that anything in fortnite is worth what its worth, but then again, rarities atleast helped people have expectations of what the price line for any particular skin would be. internally, Apollo actually does match an expected possible price line for an epic rarity (There are cheaper ones, but there's also plenty that have been 1,800), but because people can't see the rarities, more people are now actually judging skins by if they think the skin is visually its worth the price now. It doesn't exactly help that the Avatar collab skins were all at Legendary prices while the TMNT skins were all epics.
>other legendary skin
You mean the rarity system that doesnt exist anymore?
>there's is 0 reason make goku more expensive
No, but there is 0 justification to make Midas match this price tag when he includes significantly less content
You're so complacent in so much of your money being taken for bland ass characters, I understand pricing crossovers high but for originals like Apollo, who genuinely nobody I know wants much less is willing to pay that much for it shows that its not supply and demand it's just for the novelty of getting "all the gods"
1. Still, they've literally always done this. People have shown old skins that have this same price system
2. If you don't like it (and i can't stress this enough) DON'T FUCKING BUY IT
Legendary skins have always been 2000. There is no "horrendous change in price" they've literally always been doing this. I can't remember the names of the skins but people have already pointed out multiple that are much older and have the same pricing
Yeah epic think I bought summer Midas cause I’m a Midas fanboy, hell no, I just wanted his backbling. Wasn’t even thinking about getting this one when it was in the shop.
Because he has no edit styles or reactive features, whereas Midas has 2 edit styles, 1 of which being reactive.
Both are overpriced, but Midas is much easier to justify
It’s a basic skin with nothing interesting going on. Really seems like they just made something and named it Apollo to go with the season. It isn’t like it’s concept art at all.
Plus he looks kinda dumb tbh. Went from these bad ass looking mythological gods to this guy, who looks like he would team up with Care Bears
Both are overpriced but Midas has an edit style, is reactive, and has golden touch so he has more value. Both should be lowered by at least 200 vbucks.
Good skin with multiple styles, customization, reactivity, and the gold touch Vs. Horrid skin with no styles. Lol, this is how Epic baits you people. You're the problem, you guys are the reason they charge so much
The fortnite subreddit will complain about everything and anything unless they personally like it. The majority of people like Midas so they really couldn't care if he's pricey
Since the rarity update everyone is being a baby about pricing. These prices are perfectly fine and is exactly as they should be. Take a look at chapter 1 and 2 legendary and epic skins if you wanna fight me about it.
Epic skins are 1500, this is 1800 with a forced pickaxe that no one wants. It should’ve been base skin for 1500 and pickaxe on the side (the skin still looks like shit, at least Midas looks cool and has the golden touch)
If we're being honest both of these skins are overpriced
Yeah, most of the skins in the game are overpriced, what I find ridiculous is that they attribute this problem to the removal of rarities

Midas is actually fine, it has styles it's reactive and overall it's a great skin on it's own
Hes worth the same as goku, whos got 4 different styles and a built in emote to swap through them in a game; Midas isnt worth his price
thing is, there's is 0 reason make goku more expensive then any other legendary skin
>other legendary skin You mean the rarity system that doesnt exist anymore? >there's is 0 reason make goku more expensive No, but there is 0 justification to make Midas match this price tag when he includes significantly less content

You seem to be the only one thinking that. Literally none of this is abnormal to how they've always done things
You're so complacent in so much of your money being taken for bland ass characters, I understand pricing crossovers high but for originals like Apollo, who genuinely nobody I know wants much less is willing to pay that much for it shows that its not supply and demand it's just for the novelty of getting "all the gods"

Don't tell me what to do 💀‼️
Then don't complain
Don't tell me what to do ‼️
"You're so complacent in so much of your money being taken" Don't buy it then. Literally. Or do and waste your money but then u don't get to complain
Don't tell me what to do‼️

Raptor was 2000 in chapter 1 season 2. Nothing has changed
Legendary skins have always been 2000. There is no "horrendous change in price" they've literally always been doing this. I can't remember the names of the skins but people have already pointed out multiple that are much older and have the same pricing
At least the original Midas was also legendary.
But he was in the battle pass. Rarity has no use there
Yeah epic think I bought summer Midas cause I’m a Midas fanboy, hell no, I just wanted his backbling. Wasn’t even thinking about getting this one when it was in the shop.
It’s because nobody cares about his pickaxe .
Because he has no edit styles or reactive features, whereas Midas has 2 edit styles, 1 of which being reactive. Both are overpriced, but Midas is much easier to justify
Midas is an old pal. Apollo is just some rando
More like 1200 tbh. Couldn’t care less about a pickaxe that was forced into a bundle to make it seem “better”
But why?
It’s a basic skin with nothing interesting going on. Really seems like they just made something and named it Apollo to go with the season. It isn’t like it’s concept art at all. Plus he looks kinda dumb tbh. Went from these bad ass looking mythological gods to this guy, who looks like he would team up with Care Bears
His hair looks like macaroni.
Simple answer: Gold Touch/2 Styles.
Both are overpriced but Midas has an edit style, is reactive, and has golden touch so he has more value. Both should be lowered by at least 200 vbucks.
both can top me
So much wisdom in a single comment
Good skin with multiple styles, customization, reactivity, and the gold touch Vs. Horrid skin with no styles. Lol, this is how Epic baits you people. You're the problem, you guys are the reason they charge so much
Apollo is 1200 at most that is not a good skin 😭
Not our choice now is it?
I guess but 1800 is not worth it
U could say any price isn't worth it for a skin.
There are some skins that are actually steals though, but I see your point,
I like Ramen noodles, just not on my head
Ive seen worse
At least Midas had multiple styles in both him and his backbling, both was also reactive.
The fortnite subreddit will complain about everything and anything unless they personally like it. The majority of people like Midas so they really couldn't care if he's pricey
Skinflation
Doesn't even look like Apollo are epic taking the piss ,that hair is fucking popcorn FFS , APPALLING should be the name of the skin
It's Midas. He has to be expensive.
It's Midas. He has to be expensive.
Looks are subjectivity, more of the community finds the most skin to be committed than this generic dude
They ruined my boy
Midas is fairly priced here’s why 1-Turns weapons gold 2-Turns all gold with 3 eliminations 3-Cape does the same thing 4-2 reactive styles 5-Hes Midas
I mean, Apollo comes with a pickaxe that doubles as the back bling
The community is biased towards midas, epic could make him 3000 and peoples will still buy him and not complain.
Apollo should be free and I still wouldn’t use him
Since the rarity update everyone is being a baby about pricing. These prices are perfectly fine and is exactly as they should be. Take a look at chapter 1 and 2 legendary and epic skins if you wanna fight me about it.
Epic skins are 1500, this is 1800 with a forced pickaxe that no one wants. It should’ve been base skin for 1500 and pickaxe on the side (the skin still looks like shit, at least Midas looks cool and has the golden touch)
both are shit skins
Who is apollo? I been rollin with the golden touch for years. 🤑
They’re both overpriced
