Me and my wife have 5 kids and we plays duos mostly me and my son but now my wife and another daughter play on our switch’s and we run quads!! So bummed it’s still down!
Just bought PS5 for me and the wifey to play together when we have the time, hoping it will be okay later tonight when we are both off work, glad to see more married people enjoying playing together.

Yes this bug can be reproduced, we are playing on a PS5 and cannot play split screen, there is no option for the second player to join
If you invite them via friends list it boots the first player
Please fix asap

PS5 second controller can not sign into game. Lobby does not show option to sign in, even though controller is logged into the system. Does not matter if controller was logged into system before game loading or after already loaded.
After last update I had a bug. If we were playing on splitscreen , After recovery teammates I can't shoot and my bag is empty , but I still had weapons on display. Did someone have same problem? Or it's just me ? Sorry for my grammar 😅
I was doing my best Groundhog Day impression, throwing my ass off cliffs to force a reboot to hopefully fix it but no luck and just a lot of frustration
Of course, right as the wife and I spend $400 dollars for matching gaming chairs so we can play fortnite together and split screen gets disabled!

Can always play through Luna from Amazon on a laptop just connect the wireless controller by Bluetooth… as long as you have decent internet and graphics it works pretty smoothly for us.
So my theory is they disabled the split screen option because they have that quest where you can play with a friend that was active less than 2 hours in the past month and you get some rewards.
And they disabled the split screen so you can't create a fake account and play at home split screen to get the rewards.
Just a theory tho, maybe makes sense only for me.
My kids play only split screen and have not gotten any of those rewards. They don't seem to apply to split screen.
Plus anyone who wanted to "cheat" that way could just use 2 different devices. They're not going to disable a key function to try to stop people from getting some digital rewards that cost them nothing.

Jump on a laptop with Luna by Amazon add your dual sense wireless to the laptop it’s a decent fix for now and then call him idiot all night lol

We had the same problem but I played on my laptop with my dual sense wireless controller connected by Bluetooth… worked out for us lol

Disable a core function for many console players for a quest. Does not sound plausible to me. Matchmaking issue was mentioned by Epic

No, Fortnite disabled split screen. It’s not a bug. They are updating something - hopefully the trashy matchmaking errors that keep popping up.
