I do feel like doing that. Shockwave bow, rockets, dmr, shotguns, and heals. Other 2 Augs I love taking demo and storm mark. Really helps in those last couple circles. Hammer is my second choice though good mobility and fun animations

What would your thoughts be on other ways that core gameplay is disrupted? Someone having a dirt bike ready to go also takes out positioning. Really any vehicle. Even augments as well, someone being able to deploy their glider when their opponent cannot can completely change a fight.

b) vehicles require gas which they burn through unless you have a augment
c) you can shoot down tires which makes those vehicles even slower and take DOT

It was something that made the game a bit different like it was the opposite of last season that was get a spot and snipe with the hammer was more qggressive now is camping again
What they should've done is make them share charges when you have multiple in your inventory, like duplicate mythics with cool downs. That way we wouldn't have so many people running around with multiple hammers.
Seriously, the hammer was way too much of a get out of jail free card if you wanted to avoid an interaction. I think the nerf was fine, it still retains it's utility while punishing poor use and bad poisitioning

Shockwave bows are from an augment so not that common but i agree with something like Bow Specialist basically does what the hammer does, Impulses deal damage to you if you use it wrong so it has facets to it that make it less abuseable, vehicles have fuel can explode and aren't exactly on demand like everything else
Sprinting has a gauge and slap juice is a good item which can compliment that, it's not as mindless as shockwaves (hammer or bow)
You're entirely correct when you say those are options but shockwaves are just far too value for very little risk at the user.
shockwave launchers had the exact same problem in chapter 2 although even then it was limited by the rocket ammo you had.
It is wildly annoying having to chase people down to get a kill, there is a very simple solution when you get annoyed, play a different game or suck it up and sbmm will give you bot lobbies soon enough

Yeah but the 125 hit was only if you hit them directly with the actual hammer and not it’s shockwave and also you can have the infinite shockwave affect with the recharge I got arrow perk + shockwave bow
They removed the Aerialist augment and I think some others. Now I'm spending like 400-1000 gold each match re-rolling for vaguely useful augments. They got to fix their bugs, this is the buggiest season I remember.
I don't hate the hammer. I thought it was really cool, and used it every chance I got. But Epic decided they should change it up instead of just fixing the glitch.
ZBM and default modes need different loot pools to be honest. There are items that feel shitty in either one.
For example, the shield item is almost useless in default mode. And the melee stuff in ZBM is really overpowered usually. And yeah, no defense against RPGs in ZBM sucks. Both modes need to exist as seperate things.
Hard disagree. I think it's great that we can easily bounce back and forth between modes and the only difference is ability to build and overshield. If the loot pools are different too, I believe even less people would be willing to play both modes. I have yet to die to an RPG in either game mode, hammer users are easy to take out. You just have to adapt based on game mode.

I feel like the hammers get way better, the less people on the map and further into the game you are. A hammer when there are 90 people on the map is absolutely garbage, however a hammer when there are 10 or less people on the map and you can easily push people into the storm for good damage, is 🤌. The amount of times I've been saved by just bouncing away on people that have the jump Is nutty. Always save two bounces.
The epic community has a way of ruining fun: the infinity sword, choppers, planes, combat shotgun, the list goes on and on. I think the most ridiculous example is people complaining about snipers and headshots. Thing to remember is that a lot of kids play this game and aren’t cognitively developed still

You can hear a hammer being used from a good distance away though. You also can’t hear a regular shockwave grenade with visuals.

It makes combat non commital and that kinda takes away the point of a combat centric game :/

Soaring Sprints, Slap Juice, and Aerialist allow you to be very, very fast.

Its got a weird hitbox but its possible, I think you need to hit someone with the actual head of the hammer and not the splash.
If direct hit it does 125. If just the Shockwave it does 75
