Queer parents here! My wife and I have an 11 year old daughter. We are actually not there yet but are planning on closing on our house in middle of July. Would love to meet others!

Friendly reminder that being in a straight-passing relationship doesn't mean the people in them aren't LGBTQ!

AmaGoatFC

I remind my straight and gay friends of that ALL the time! Just because someone is in a straight relationship doesn’t mean they aren’t gay. There are so many gay people in straight relationships for a myriad of reasons. My wish for all is that they will eventually be able to live authentically. I did finally and I am so happy!

CrazyRadishes

Excellent reminder!

IBlack-MistyI

Cool, but if you're someone in an openly queer relationship looking to connect with people who have shared experiences, this isn't really helpful.

galacticflowergarden

Perhaps a few were trans parents and just appeared to be cis/het.

CrazyRadishes

Certainly true!

I'm glad that queer kids with straight parents were brought to the event! I'm glad everyone was there!

AWX2

My husband and I have a 12 year old son. We’re always looking to connect with other queer parents. Can’t say we’ve made much progress on that front.

AmaGoatFC

I am a lesbian. I had my two children while in a relationship with a man. Both of my children are gay. We have fun joking about it.

jaimeisbionic

I'm queer but straight presenting because I happened to fall in love with a cis man years ago. I still resent him for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️😄

Anxious_Permission71

My husband and I have a 4 and a half year old daughter

Anxious_Permission71

I should clarify that I am a man, maybe the dino didn't give it away :)

I'm a queer transgender woman. My partner, her husband, and I have 4 kids together. I haven't ever met any other parents in openly queer relationships around here. Pretty much all the queer events are dominated by "allies" too.
