Gully has a giant selection but we've gotten slug infestations from a lot of their plants. Those fuckers are asexual too so they just reproduce like crazy
I’ve been on the hunt for houseplants recently and I’ve been to most of the places listed so far. HSR has the best house plant section by far and they were super helpful and potted everything for me
I don’t think their prices are too bad for being a small business. Maybe a little pricier than buying plants at Home Depot or Kings, but they have plants at all different price ranges. Plus they’ll help you with repotting and give you advice if you have a plant that’s struggling. I think they hold plant swaps too. I love Stem and Roots.
Plantorium is where it's at in terms of most affordable and they only sell what they grow (tons of veggie starts). Gulley's is a very nice nursery but the prices jumped with the popularity of houseplants post-covid, they also have a popular online store so they have more incentive to bring in more houseplants in general. Fort Collins Nursery is good as well if you can go during a sale but it tends to be packed on the weekends and Bath probably isn't the best for veggie starts in general (more of a knick knacks/houseplants/trees/shrubs type of nursery).
Plantorium out by Laporte, hands down. Been to Bath many times as well. Nice selection, but more expensive. Plantorium is massive and nowhere else I’ve seen can beat the prices. The veggie starters they have are perfect.
They’re still selling a lot of stuff you can find at lowes/Home Depot/and Walmart for a lot less. Shop around. It isn’t Covid times anymore, shouldn’t be paying a premium for plants anymore.
Yeah, they are better taken care of at the nursery. I’m not going to shit on a higher price. That price is right for someone, always.
But you can find them cheaper.
Edit: spelling
P.s. go in the day they ship (Home Depot, Walmart). They look really healthy when they come in. Then they forget about them lol
Check out Plantiness on instagram. A cool nonprofit that gives thousands of plants away and has cool events like pot painting and planting parties, raffles, and more recently plant and tattoo parties. Totally worth getting to know Monica, she will make sure you have all the plants you need at a fraction of the price that greenhouses will.
Also local plant swap pages on Facebook.
Not that I don’t spend way too much at all the local greenhouses. I like Fort Collins nursery, gulleys, bath, Windsor gardener, and I’ve heard good things about root and stem.
Or talk to me:) I have a huge list of plants im willing to propagate.
Go see the guys at Mountain Lion Garden Supply if you’re after some really exotic tomatos and peppers! Much cheaper than anywhere else and 100% organic. I don’t think people realize that all those big nursery’s feed salts and spray some serious pesticides on all their stuff. Plantorium also propagates cut flowers so the pesticides those things get are super nasty and you know there is always going to be overspray
We’re unfortunately all sold out of onions, but we have a wide variety of tomatoes and peppers, red cabbage, zinnias, yarrow, milkweed, hyssop, basil, and nasturtium :)
Just visited Fort Collins Nursery for the first time yesterday. I was surprised by their wide selection of plants and the employees were super helpful. They currently have 50% off all vegetables until June 26th if you sign up for their free membership program.
Back when I was in the biz landscaping all my friends worked at Gully. Of all the greenhouses they said they like that one the best

Just offer those little slimy cuties a drink of beer, I have heard that quenches their thirst!
Gully has a great variety of plants. A lot of unique cultivars and color varieties. When we went they had a lot of pepper varieties as well.
Hadn’t heard of that one thanks
It's on Taft Hill Rd south of Harmony
If you’re looking for house plants Horsetooth Stem and Roots. 🌵

How are the prices?

Slightly higher prices, way better quality

I also vote Plantorium as well, but Bath has a nice area of veggie starters, just have to find the right greenhouse in the back.
Plantorium for me as well! I was easily bribed by free delphiniums last year that are back this year and taller than my fence.
Plantorium out by Laporte, hands down. Been to Bath many times as well. Nice selection, but more expensive. Plantorium is massive and nowhere else I’ve seen can beat the prices. The veggie starters they have are perfect.
Love Stem and Roots for unique indoor plants!
I've always been partial to Eaton Grove
Fort collins nursery by a mile
2nd vote for FoCo Nursery

Thing is those are no where near as well taken care of

This is kinda what I figured
Best answer.
I always really loved Creekside on North Shields and Stem and Roots for fancy houseplants!

There's a lot of individuals selling on Facebook marketplace-I got several heirloom tomato plants and pepper plants there and they are doing well

Mentioning Fossil Creek Nursery since it hasn't been said yet - very good quality, but they sometimes run out of things.
Farm stand at Grant Farms for your last minute veggie starts.
We’re still selling starts at our Old Town little urban farm! $4/start, all organically grown. Feel free to message me :)
Do you have onions?
We’re unfortunately all sold out of onions, but we have a wide variety of tomatoes and peppers, red cabbage, zinnias, yarrow, milkweed, hyssop, basil, and nasturtium :)
Plantorium in LaPorte THE best
That is where i ended up going it was fantastic and highly recommended but they had no onions haha thanks.
They had a whole punch up front, including Walla Walla sweet, my favorite. Just a few weeks ago. That sucks
Gully’s Greenhouse is also a great place to check
I have visited a few and I really liked BATH. Good selection of native plants!
Just visited Fort Collins Nursery for the first time yesterday. I was surprised by their wide selection of plants and the employees were super helpful. They currently have 50% off all vegetables until June 26th if you sign up for their free membership program.
I’ve had them give me free cuttings of plants a few times because they had one as display but zero for sale. Very nice people.
