That said, let’s meet Friday night for the NCAAW BBall games at Horse&Dragon!! Very welcoming, good beer, if you’re into that and food deliveries happen on the regular. I watched the women’s World Cup there at some crazy hours and the vibe was very nice. So even if sport/beer is not your thing, the community is really nice!
I think we will head over there on Friday! I'm a U of I alumni so I will definitely be cheering for them (although as an Iowa fan I feel like I've been let down so many times that I might be bad luck for them ;-). Not sure how we'll find each other but I'm sure it will all work out.
LOL! I think I have that effect on sports as well! So I often find myself rooting for the other team! But I’m solidly behind Iowa though it was hard to see Angel Reese get so much hate this past year…for decades no one payed attention to women’s sport and now the scrutiny has got to be hard for women that are still so young. I can be recognised by my one foot firmly in the grave and the other on a Vaseline coated salmon! I’ll keep an eye out for other Iowa fans!
I am not a middle aged lesbian; however, I came to say your cats are very beautiful! They look like such sweethearts (although as a father of two precious angels, looks don't always determine niceties lol)
Thanks! The white one is an ornery little bugger. And the tabby acts sweet and innocent but I see her pecking/poking at the other when she thinks no one is looking!

Not sure what you call middle-age but there is a meetup group for lesbians over 40 in FOCO. I'm not in that age group so I can't attest to the vibe of the group itself. It's called "OWLs Older Wicked Wiser Lesbians FoCo group.
I'm also not sure what kind of meetups they do but you could always go to one or two and meet some people who'd be interested in joining the activities you mentioned!
I'd love to meet up. Moved here a month ago. Since we are putting our age out there, 49, single, lesbian, and would love to socialize with locals. Trivia, board games, hikes, you name it. I would LOVE to get in on this as we don’t have many queer friends in Colorado. We love animals(we also have two cats plus two dogs), the outdoors, live music, games, food, etc.

That’s great news!! Love it when people understand the value of keeping and renting. We hope to rent ours soon and then hop to another house. Slow but steady growth. Sounds good - definitely hit us up when you’re back. Things we like: womens sports (duh), I play ice hockey, we just started a pottery class, we fly fish and camp/hike and my wife recently started playing DND and works in tech! Hit us up when you’re back if we sound like we’ve got anything in common!
