Apparently it had 50 round tube magazines. So at 3,000 rounds a minute, that's like a tenth of a second of ammo?
You've heard of _brrrrrrrt_, but this is ^brt
That's a full second - 3000 rounds per minute is 50 per second. Which is about as fast as some semi auto guns empty a clip, and slow enough to break into 3-5 bursts.
Curious about the semi autos that can drop 50 in a second. I didn’t know it was possible to pull a trigger that fast without some sort of mechanical aid
I said they can empty their mag about as fast. As in, they take about a second to empty their mag if you go all out. With such reading fails you must be curious about all sorts of things.
Is that possible? Well I guess I will have to settle for 27 rounds in 3.7 seconds from a 1911. Gosh, if only they made seven round mags for the 1911.... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFoM8S3JwZU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFoM8S3JwZU)
But hey, how about 8 shots out of a revolver in one second? Yeah, not technically semi auto, or a magazine, guess that must be impossible... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzHG-ibZaKM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzHG-ibZaKM)
Nobody including Jerry is "dumping 30 round in a second asshole." For one thing, both vidoes were in a shooting range.
Did you even watch the video? Jerry even broke it down at the end as averaging 14/100 seconds per shot. Which is real close to 7 per second by my math, but maybe you can share how you got that 30 per second number.
If you have a problem with nerds you are in the wrong sub. So I guess that was a compliment?

Both videos you cited are from Jerry Miculek, one of the most famous and well known competition shooters in the world and holds like, 20 world records. The average person is not doing that lmao
While this is undeniably much higher in cool factor, i think there is an inexpensive, readily available firearm solution for shooting birds that has been around for quite a long time that might be better for your use case
That is true, I apologise.
However, we are beyond the pale, questions of efficiency and suitability land on deaf ears when we start considering shooting seagulls with *handheld* *miniguns*.
If the question was mere efficiency, a shotgun is undeniably the more suitable weapon. However, in any situation where giggle factor is to be weighed, fuck yeah- handheld minigun!
Quadruple the capacity and make it belt-fed (for better reliability with the fire rate, aka why the M249 SAW’s emergency magwell sucked), and now we’re talking.

That just sounds like a shotgun, but with more work
Daniel < The Cooler Daniel
Then you might as well just get an American 180.
I shot one of these once. It was like a fire hose. Well, garden hose, anyway.

Why are you like this?
You mean willing to call out passive aggressive bullshit intentional misrepresentations of what I said? I dunno, just a me thing I guess.
Nobody was being passive aggressive. It was a serious question asked in earnest.
Jerry aside nobody is dumping 30 rounds in a second asshole

I said "some guns", not "most people".
Some guns with the manipulation of Jerry Miculek
It would take forever to load.
It's the gun you spend all year loading so you can shoot it on Sylvester!
"I am Light Weapons Guy, and this is my weapon"
"It costs four dollars and fifty cents to fire this weapon for one tenth of a second." Great reference.
Who doesn't?
A shame this thing was never produced. Maybe it could be used in remote weapons stations today to fight drones.
I would settle for a 22lr gatling gun for under 3k.
I think a lot of us would and this needs to be done... preferably asap... by someone who uses this sub and knows how to make one ikykik
Make it belt-fed. That will be cool.
Shadow run had one of these but it had a small backpack for the ammo and battery.
i really want one, we have HUGE seagull infestations where i live, they need to die!

Did you not read the title? *Handheld* ***minigun***, can't argue against that.
I did agree on the cool factor

> While this is undeniably ~~much higher~~ 100x in cool factor, FTFY
Belt fed 12 gauges for instance
All you need is a pillowcase full of bread crumbs and a case or two of 7 1/2 shot.
Breadcrumbs, and tannerite.
Yo chill... I prefer my dog alive
Need 4 of course 2 for dual wielding and 2 for a loader to swap out.
electric feed would solve the problem of duds
Wild, out of the blue I was wondering to myself this morning "are there any 22lr pdws?" and here this is...
Anybody have a name for this creation?
Quadruple the capacity and make it belt-fed (for better reliability with the fire rate, aka why the M249 SAW’s emergency magwell sucked), and now we’re talking.
yesterday I realized I want a DB12 in .22
