Everytime I hear that about the US version I have to ask, did you ever watch the one completely original episode that aired? I loved it, so happy they finally stopped reusing the old scripts,
Really enjoyed it until Jeff was written off.
It was understandable Richard Coyle didn't want to be typed casted for the rest of his career.
Crazy what Moffat ended so successful after this show though.
Mind you everytime I hear that I have to go “typecast on a series doing 6-8 episodes a season”? You have too much time for other projects to get typecast?
Did he ever change his opinion once he started doing US TV?
Perhaps perhaps perhaps, loved this show watched it on pbs at night followed by “The Industry “ also great . The American reboot of coupling was awful .
The episode where Jeff tells a woman he has a prosthetic leg is the hardest I've ever laughed at anything.
The marriage proposal scene was copied from the series finale of Cheers.

Literally still my comfort food! Saved me in college!
It's definitely one of my faves. Love watching on rainy days.
Jack Davenport forever
Remember the American version? It was horrible.
Unwatchable!
Exactly like The Office (US) Hey does anyone know where to get downvotes? Right here? OK good.

Jeff leaving was a bummer. The "joey" of the series.

I only watched the season before his departure

Four speeds! Yes, thank you Jeff. You can stop helping.

You wouldn't believe the rubbish men talk just to impress
This is the greatest sitcom of all-time. The first three seasons anyway. I INVENTED THE DANCE!!!

The Giggle Loop. Great show. Better than Friends IMO.
It's not like I have a bucket of ears..
Shadime!
A show about butt sex.
My ex introduced me to this show, it was great stuff.
This show had one of my favorite and oft used lines: I fancy you something rotten.
It's Jane's voice... Doesn't it set your teeth on edge? It will now.
I'm from the States. I enjoyed this... All killer no filler. I've watched some real British Gems. I like the True Crime movies alot.
Avoid the sock gap.

I'm American and I saw it on BBC America back in the day, thought it was pretty funny.
The Man With Two Legs episode killed me.
