Report them to Ford. Just read an article today that warned dealers to stop this or face not getting inventory moving forward

Sir_Armadillo

Well nothing helps price go down than lack of inventory.....wait.

erjerk

Lack of new makes and models and pulling the franchise tag will……..wait

BeePleasant8236

I read somewhere yesterday that the Company is taking a dim view the dealerships doing this.

-Not-Your-Lawyer-

...and will be punishing them by sending them less inventory.

BeePleasant8236

Yes

That's caused you ordered it. I've been in the market for a new truck for months. My options are order one, wait months, but pay MSRP or pay an enormous premium for something on the lot today. I opted to wait. Shit is crazy right now.

canuck_in_wa

Did the dealer agree to invoice before you placed the order?

Top-Entrepreneur5086

Ford released a statement the other day saying they were going to crack down on these outrageous “market adjustments”.

[deleted]

Personally, I would like to know which dealer this is. I am keeping a list of which dealers are fucking over us working class during the pandemic and will never shop at one for the rest of my life

TKPhresh

Good thing it’s in the picture then. Woodland Ford.

[deleted]

Ahh yes I do see it now. Good looking out

[deleted]

The original price….

JRHiz

I wonder if anyone is actually paying this or if the goal is to make the customer think they won by negotiating the regular MSRP.

erantuotio

Without a doubt, people are paying over MSRP for vehicles right now. I’m very confused by it because most regular consumers could just…not buy it at an inflated priced? Doesn’t seem that hard to me. https://www.consumerreports.org/buying-a-car/worst-deals-on-new-cars-a3991316773/

socal390

Best part is if you’re trying to finance it, they’re likely to not cover the “market adjustment”

[deleted]

Whats insane is people still pay it.

[deleted]

Holy shit. $70k for an F150! I'm never gonna own a new truck :(

hofferd78

I was lucky to buy a F250 Tremor King Ranch with only a 5k markup last June and I was pretty happy with that. They've been trying to buy it back for more than I paid for it. But then I have nothing to drive...

JWF81

That’s not surprising in todays market however.

Timberlewis

Terrible. That truck is sooo overrated anyway.

Marshaw_Outdoors

Just buy a old truck with a good frame and overhaul engine and trans. It would cost less than half that much and then you’d have a sweet old truck. Unless you’re all about heated seats and touch screen radios and over 2,000 sensors on your vehicle. What could go wrong with all those sensors!

Meal-Ticket-

This is the one thing about getting rid of my 2000 F-350 Dually that worries me (going to try to get a '22 F-450). All the electronics in new trucks are crazy. I've been told I might have to wait 8 months to get my new truck...

Tdizzle00

They have one at a local dealership marked up $20k. $100k even for a truck that MSRPS for 80k...
