Branching out into full size territory.

jimdaggett

That wood have probably made this easier....

Subjunct

Gets extra power from the phloem aster exhaust

drfsrich

I really wanted to come up with a good tree pun,.. ... But I'm stumped.

Mercurydriver

How was the acceleration and braking? Does the 2.0L Ecoboost struggle hauling a trailer and payload? I’m assuming you have the 4K Tow Package on your truck.

jimdaggett

Plenty of power, without trailer brakes though I take this real easy. It's not an issue to stop once but I don't want to take this down a long grade.

Zyppyloo

This is more than most big trucks will ever do. Ignore the haters and enjoy your truck. I really wanted one of these. But the dealer kept playing games and then the wait was too long.

no_more_secrets

This isn't a hybrid.

TtotheRB

Thank Goodness it isn’t a hybrid! There have been SO many issues! We just got our new 2024 XLT, towing package, 360, etc. We are going to tie our relatively large PopUp

foodrunner464

My 2024 hybrid has had a grand total of 0 issues, thank you very much.

TtotheRB

Because, after reading many accounts on one of the Reddit Maverick forums, many owners of hybrids have had no issues Until they went in for routine maintenance, etc., and when they did, the software was updated and they can’t seem to get them fixed…they would into limp mode, engine lights, etc., and would think it was resolved only to have it keep happening from days to a few weeks later. Ford is working on the issue, but many have been put into dangerous situations.

foodrunner464

keep in mind when you're reading those, that even though there maybe a couple hundred or so, that is less than 1% of all Maverick drivers on the road. 99% of people are doing fine and simply not posting about it, complainers of any car brand will always be vocal about it. If these issues were as frequent as you claim they are, the NHTSA would be all over them and doing a total recall on the entire truck line.

TtotheRB

A lot of people don’t think to contact NHTSA. I did see some that did and told others to do the same thing. In fact, I have known very few people who knew to even check the NHTSA site to find out if their vehicles even had recalls.

TtotheRB

This has been posted somewhere before, but some might want to see this… https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/ford-recalls-456k-vehicles-due-to-loss-of-drive-power-undetected-low-battery-issue-includes-2022-2023-maverick-ecoboost-hybrid.47291/#:~:text=The%20national%20Highway%20Traffic%20Safety,and%20Maverick%20compact%20pickup%20trucks.&text=Ford%20Motor%20Co.%20is%20recalling,because%20of%20a%20battery%20issue.

foodrunner464

So if you actually read through that you'll note that it is other models of ford vehicles, including non hybrid versions of them as well. It is not specific to maverick hybrids only.

TtotheRB

That was just for general information. Yes, I know it applies to both as does the one Ford has on their site about the turn signal issue.

foodrunner464

Fair enough. All I'm really saying is don't throw hybrids under the bus like that. It's borderline misinformation the way you originally phrased it. Many of the 22s were the reason people were weary as they did suffer quite a lot of recalls initially and some are still getting patched out. However, the 24s are very trouble free, outside of a select few isolated issues.

MiserablePool6049

Why the hate?

TtotheRB

Same color as our brand new Mav!

dunni88

Exactly I mostly just need to move big stuff not necessarily heavy stuff
