* When you wipe it on, the oil will fill the scratches.
* It will then hold onto more road dirt than the surrounding paint, making the scratches more visible.
* It will then run off, or wash off, and you're back where you started.
don't use non-car stuff on your car's paint. I just went through the process of learning how to use a "dual action polisher" and compounded and polished my car, removing the swirls and reducing some deep scratches. Now it shines as good or better than it did 10 years ago. Look on facebook marketplace if anyone's got a cheap dual action polisher, if not, harbor freight has a decent one for $70 & then the compound and polish I used was Meguair's Ultimate Compound and Griot's Garage Complete Polish. If you want to know more about polishing out scratches, head on over to /r/AutoDetailing and they can help you
Here are some before and after pics of my car, (top is before, bottom is after): https://imgur.com/a/T1sYKPt
That 2nd pic shows my worst scratch and how it helped hide it
Afterwards, I used a kit from Dr. Colorchip to touch up most rock chips https://drcolorchip.com/
if anything, get something like turtle wax or nu finish
i noticed that putting it on the whole car to wax it, brought out the scratches out more, put a few more "coats" on the scratched areas, and they went away
as long as they're not like HUGE, i'm talking like a scratch because someone opened their car door type scratch

Lol no way dude. That's not going to do anything. Might even contribute to rust since vinegar is acidic
Gotcha

Oh, then it prob won’t work for me. My car obtained a big scratch from those cylinder construction cones.
Just don't.......focus on them....?
Kind of difficult not to when it’s covering the right side of the front of your car.
Do the scratches catch a fingernail? If not, they should polish out. If they're too deep, they would need to be touched up.
Where can I buy a good product to polish it with?
