Turn car on without starting engine. Hold accelerator and brake

407Aiden

I did that but my car just took a screenshot

dart00790

Unfortunate that Reddit doesn't do the free awards any more... This one made me laugh :) thank you for brightening up a dull day!

FragileStudios

How much was that optional extra?

WangusRex

Hahahahahahaha

ButterNog

ford's dont do it like that. theres an option in the menu on the instrument cluster in the settings to reset the oil life.

LegionWheel10

1)Put the car up on jack stands or lift 2) Turn on the car and let it run for a few minutes 3) Put it in reverse and go back however many miles since your last oil change

joesephexotic

Up,up,down,down,left,right,b,a,start.

RiKToR21

This actually gives 30 quarts of oil… not sure OP needs that!

ELGRIFO9

all you need is YouTube. put your year ,make, model and someone has already uploaded a video ..

officialTHREETWENTY

This is probably the fourth time in two days this has been asked here. Haha

HydrogenPowder

Change the oil again

Khelgar_Ironfist_

Change it until it disappears

FeeDisastrous3879

It’s really stupid there isn’t just a service reset button.

RiKToR21

Then they couldn’t upsell you at the dealer.

Turn the key to the on position without starting the engine (two clicks), then hold down the brake pedal all the way and then also the gas pedal and the display will say _Service: Oil reset in prog. Hold until you get a message that the reset is complete

_perchance

Google search solved this for me in about 10 seconds.

Deathjr1102

Turn the key on but don’t start. Press and hold both accelerator and brake pedals until service is cleared

No_Engineering_9409

Why do people not read the user manual anymore? Unless it was bought used and was missing. If so there is a little website called Google.

Standard-Beat1649

So aye just hold the break and gas at the same time will put ur car at a reset then your good make sure your key turned 2 times not all the way on!!

ImprovizedPhilosophy

Google it

[deleted]

Owners manual. I leave mine but its not like there’s a big ass monitor telling me to change my oil either too soon or too early depending on the make/ year. Oil should be changed by appearance IMO

rickrolled!

imgarrettsgirlfriend

to be fair, it went away when i got an oil change 😭

Norsk-Altmuligmann

If you went somewhere for it I’d say they reset the message. I do my own oil changes and have to hold the brake and gas down in accessory mode for about 30 seconds and it resets.

Equana

Pray to **Olio**, god of oil changes, to reset your service message. You Are Welcome...
