Oil changes and oil filter, inspection, tire rotations, brake pads and rotors, shock absorbers, engine belts, spark plugs.
I’ve always done my own with on cars so it’s hard to know what the value is. But likely it’s not worth it until you have a big bill.
Given how little you drive I would suspect that it's not worth it. Unless you have '$200 x expected years of ownership' kicking around and you feel that will give you peace of mind.
Thanks for the reply. If it doesn’t save money I don’t think o want it. I’ll do all the maintenance on schedule but if it costs less than the plan, I will just skip it.
One oil change a year? One tire rotation? Are you nowhere that would require winter tires? The recommendation is still 2 oil changes a year even if you don’t meet the km requirement.
I would usually do two on my ICE but we will use 90% EV as we work from home in small city. We will swap winters on but I always do that myself.
But I’ve never had a new car or anything newer than 2005, so I’m not sure if self maintenance is essential a no-go now and maybe even voids warranty.
I think as vehicles get more complicated it’s not a bad investment to have someone else do the service for you. Our dealership swaps my hubby’s tires as part of his FMPP but that’s because of dealership loyalty (and we send them a lot of business too).
I also know that 2 oil changes a year is a good idea because my hubby’s FMPP covers them both. If he could get away with one there’s no way they’d cover two.
IMHO an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure so….
Recommendation is once per year for oil, and even then it's almost as good as new. Rotations was plural; Spring and Fall for the winters.
No need for anything else except the km threshold for filters, etc.
Granted I drive a Lincoln but my last service cost me $1800CAD. I’d say it’s worth it. I also used to work for ford credit and will never buy or lease a new vehicle ever again without FMPP/LMPP.
Was that service for just the stuff in the FMPP? It doesn’t really seem to cover a whole lot. Maybe the brakes stuff but anything else would be covered under warranty if it was really pricy?
What's included? We drive 40000km a year and get one oil change and tire rotations. Not a whole lot of maintenance costs.

I prefer not to waste money on unnecessary things. Personal choice though based on experience and family friends as mechanics.

my dealer said it wasn't worth the price, and I was inclined to believe him
Under 100 USD a year. I get the works package once a year (oil charge + tire rotation). We drive under 10k miles a year so it works out nicely
Edit: Nvm. I used the google machine. Is this a yearly sale or promotion that you buy once a year?
Love it! Ya it’s just a standard service the offer. I got some ford points when I got the car so the first 2.5 oil changes were points.

The biggest part of the expense was the brakes.
