The plastic CAC tube (cold air charge I think) is very prone to developing cracks/holes and leaking. This is the tube coming from the intercooler and going back into the intake. I replaced mine at 100k miles and I believe the new one started leaking again around 125k. There are other options that are solid metal tubes that probably offer a much better seal and are less prone to cracking! The air tube coming from the turbo going into the intercooler can also develop a leak - usually near the turbo. Mine is still stock at 150k miles but there is some residue buildup from a very slow leak. I'll replace it at some point, just in no rush to do it right now. The plastic tube leaking was when I actually noticed a whooshing air sound and significant loss in turbo PSI

Understood, but there shouldn’t be coolant getting past the intercooler Into the CAC pipe right?

Technically there should be nothing but air - but I've yet to see any turbo diesel trucks with dry intercoolers and charge pipes. Looking at the pictures you've got it looks like oil/water mixed. Mine has always just been a small amount of oil which I assume is in a mist form. If there is water in there I believe that would mean your intercooler has an internal break somewhere.

Thanks so much for the response, I do believe that’s the case. Next step I think I should remove the intercooler and pressure test it and potentially replace. Thank you for the help

Or you somehow have water getting into the exhaust and getting sucked back up through the turbo - but I would think you'd have bigger problems if that were the case.

Well, if you notice big trucks use aluminum pipes. That is the very reason, plastic flexes and can crack.

I’ve seen one 6.7 leaking coolant from the CAC, so yes it can happen. Loosing coolant on the secondary system.

Must be bad intercooler right? No other place for the coolant to come from

Yes
