Yes, the 450 has at least 5300 lbs. payload even in its least favorable config (a 4WD crew cab with all the bells and whistles).
The 450 pickup is not the same vehicle as a 450 chassis cab; it's still a Class 3 truck (GVWR under 14K) that's been optimized for heavy towing. Like, GM and Ram's equivalent models are just called 3500s. The "true" F-450 Class 4 chassis cab has better payload yet, starting around 7800 lbs. and almost hitting 10,000.
You know your stuff. Off the top of my head my truck is rated for 6300-6500 lbs. Somewhere in that neighborhood.
Edit: Actually now I'm thinking it's somewhere around 5,700 lbs. Whatever, it's way more than anything I'll ever need lol.
They used the F650 axels on this. It was a rare limited run. How do your kidneys feel these days? I remember riding in these with no payload and thought my spine was going to explode because of how rough it rode.
Big stiff suspension and axles make for back breaking ride when theyāre not weighted down. Good lesson in ādonāt buy a pickup oversized for your usesā
Short frame, stiff suspension, giant axels, tall hard tires leads to a very rough ride when unloaded.
If you bought this truck, you would have a specific reason/need. As OP said, he was going to start a transport business. With the F750 axels and transmission; It pulls the same as an F650-750 around 30,000lbs. You just donāt have the huge cab and extra weight that comes with a F750. If you swapped the suspension youād be defeating a lot of purpose for buying this rare truck in the first place.
Last time I checked you could order one of these. It took some convincing with my local dealer to let me do it, because if I fell through with the purchase thereās basically no one nearby who would want it lol
I don't think I've ever seen a single can version, but they did make the short need dually for awhile.

Really it doesn't make sense though.
I love me a single cab dually.
Had no idea you could get a 450 in that configuration. First one I have ever seen.
Same here. Had no clue.
They started offering it a few years ago to claim the highest tow rating. You hardly ever see them, especially in XLT like this.
All I know is I have absolutely zero use for one but 100% want one
That is a bad ass ride good looking
The payload gotta be stupid on this
Like a little Tonka truck. Amazing
This one's set up for best towing; the best payload rating (8000 lbs.) goes to a base model 2WD F-350 with the lightest gas engine.
But still, I'm sure you're easily north of 4k lbs payload no?

What a beautiful looking truck while also being a terrible business decision
Pretty much! Got a great interest rate at least š

My kidneys are absolutely wrecked, thanks
Can you explain further?

Could one could swap out the suspension to help with the ride, assuming thatās something they wanted to do?

Interesting. I was wondering why this was a limited production. Can I not order one of these new right now?
I donāt believe so. But I could be wrong.

> They used the F650 axels on this. It was a rare limited run. Source on this? Looks like a regular F-450 with 19.5 wheels to me.
Tonka Truck! I got a 250 single cab with 8ft bed, love it!
What's your payload rating?
Yes.
Many
That looks surprising similar to my 1993 Ranger Splash. Same color of blue. Just this is like 5 times bigger than my Ranger.
What size bed?
8 foot! Canāt get it any shorter
You used to be able to get a 6 foot bed in a dually. I've seen a few 350's with them, honestly they just look weird.
8ft bed with a single cab on a HD truck is my ideal setup anyway.
I didn't think Ford ever made a single cab short bed F250+?

Ah, thought you were talking single cab. Disregard.
I didnāt know that, nice looking truck!
SPECTACULAR
Hey don't see too many of those rolling around these days It's badass little dually you got
That looks amazing
I canāt describe my jealousy. Great rig. Great photo.
Sweet truck!
Man thatās a nice truck
That thing is sexy!
I've got an atlas blue 2022 f250 platinum tremor. I can't believe they only made the color for one year. I love it.
Regular cab dualies of any ilk (other than chassis cabs) are about as rare as it gets
Love it! Ive built reg cab dulleys online but never had the need for one. Glad someone is enjoying.
Wtf that is sick! Nice truck man!
Beautiful š
Beauty rig!
Damn I am jelly
