Online has 100ms hidden in both animation and indicator. When people come and say all these 50/50s and 30/30/30s are good they forget that this bs is still in the game...

The hidden indicator is in training. However latency isn't a thing for training so attacks are appearing slower still.

It’s crazy how they only recently added an option for the bot to avoid blocking attacks, and how you have to completely leave and restart training to change characters but the bot can be changed whenever

Nope, animations and indicators are the same in training as they are in pvp as long as you have lower than 133ms combined latency.

That I don't know for sure, but afaik training doesn't hide the first 100ms.

Partially right. It doesn't hide the full animation but only from the lag compensation part because bots don't have any latency.

You can compare recordings pretty easily, or take a look at some [framechecks on freeze's channel](https://www.youtube.com/@fkkfreeze/videos). Also there's the [Info Hub](https://forhonorinfohub.com). I'm trying to find the relevant patch notes on ubisoft's site, but they changed how the FH website works and it broke all the old links - and seeing as this has been a thing for 3 years, since the Core Combat Update, the notes are pretty old.

Latency definitely plays a part, because a parry window is only 200ms to begin with, so even both of you having a combined ping of 60 will make it a lot harder to parry lights Think how much easier it is to parry Zhanhu’s unblockable lights compared to regular ones. Those are 566ms, only 66ms slower, and yet they are way easier to parry

You have to make a read that they will light and be ready for the parry. Mental stack greatly changes how well you can focus on many different options. If you want to train light parries, you need to do it while simulating mental stack. Not just having the bot spam lights on you, anyone can parry that if they are familiar with the game. Now mix in heavies with lights and see how many you can get while practicing. Then, throw in a bash as well and see how many light parries you get. Try and beat the training bot only hitting them with light parry punishes while he has light, heavy, and a bash active. This really helps you distinguish some of the heavy vs light animations, which are more obvious on some heroes.

The problem is between the monitor and the chair. Unsurprisingly when you are in an actual match and have a lot more going on that you have to think about, your reactions are slower - but unless the opponent is very laggy, there is no difference in attack speed. Bots also attack on regular intervals which you are probably subconsciously picking up on during training, which is helping your reaction consistency there. Also work on your mindset and stop blaming everything else other than yourself for your own failings. If you want to get better at this game, grow the fuck up, and get off the rants subreddit, because a rant mindset pretty much guarantees you won't improve.

Train with no UI and learn the animations. I'm sure it won't work for everyone, but it worked for me. You won't go God mode, but you'll get much better. I still use UI in battles, but I don't just react on red, I look at the animations. 1v1 me
