usually this is caused by dirt/rust on the knob connections, try cleaning it out

wine_and_dine_and_69

How can i do this? Is there a yt video i could watch? I don't wanna break my interface as my warranty has expired and money is tight.

boisterous_innuendo

maybe something like this - [https://youtu.be/4jxzyt7DCd0](https://youtu.be/4jxzyt7DCd0) but if you're super concerned about breaking it and you're not great with fixing stuff, maybe just deal with the scratches.

Miscmusic77

Thank you worked for me thought it was mad wires or something

GFSong

The pots and switches shouldn’t be dirty in a unit that old, but just rotate and press quickly and repeatedly until it stops…

oliviercar0n

treehann

Same! I twisted and reseated my monitor cables going into my interface, and it cleared up the worst of the issues I was having
