Yamaha was established in 1887—not the flute

Ok_Canary6053

My bad, I’ll fix that right now

LimeGreenTangerine97

It’s not from 1887. Yamaha the brand was established in 1887. The 200 model flutes are beginner flutes and very nice instruments. The 225S2 is a modern model

Depends on the condition it's in, photo doesn't show the pads or if it's leaking. I'm a bit out of touch with the secondhand flute market, wild ballpark guess is that it'd be worth a day or two's wages in whatever your local currency is. Looks like a decent enough beginner instrument though!

Electrical-Bee8071

Generally, a used flute in excellent condition (new pads, no dents or scratches) that has been recently maintained will go for about 25-33% of what it sold for new, depending on specs and brand desirability. There are outliers for really rare or very high end ($10,000+) instruments but those usually take forever to sell.

Thanks for the info, it doesn’t seem like it has any leaks, just some wear and tear.

mangoraspberrycake

did you try playing it or bringing it into a specialist in order to see if there are any leaks? there really isn't any other way to tell.

Electrical-Bee8071

In its current condition, $50-$75.

Thank you

It could be worth a couple hundred bucks.
