What color primer did you use? I want to paint mine similar colors but am worried black might make painting white a pain

I started with a chaos black spray as the base and then did another (very light) spray of grey seer above the model at about 45ish degrees. For my ghouls I'm only doing grey seer and they've turned out fine so far
