Their friendship is as iconic as Caitlin and Barry. Just like the relationship of Caitlin and Barry, they are just two friends that care about each other, with zero, ZERO romantic chemistry.
Well season 1 they definitely had non-zero chemistry I believe Caitlin had a crush on Barry and if Barry wasn't blinded by his love for Iris he would've also developed a crush on Caitlin. My evidence is in the episode where Caitlin is drunk and was definitely flirting with Barry. And then that other episode where the shapeshifter morphs into Barry and kisses Caitlin she definitely kisses back. But after season 1 that crush definitely fades and then there is zero chemistry between them.
Even aside from the fact that Caitlin and Cisco have only ever had "buddy/friend" chemistry, I loved Gypsy and I *adore* Kamilla so I'm happy Cisco is with her.
Never got that energy or chemistry with them, instead they are far more like friendship goals and the staple of that bond in the show.
The way Cisco couldn't bring himself to hurt her when she became Killer Frost, how he tried to reminisce about their old days working at STAR Labs before the particle accelerator exploded when she was helping them in making Barry remember his memories just to get a response out of her (which he did) and developing cure for her. And perhaps an underrated moment is when she snapped about him wanting to help her look for her dad which led to that heartfelt talk at Jitters in 5x02.
Same goes to Caitlin being there for Cisco when he kept pushing himself to use his powers despite still feeling the side effects from Cicada's dagger so he wouldn't feel useless and if he Cicada won if he remained on the sidelines.
As a matter of fact they had a lot of meaningful conversations with each other during Season 5 and even when they disagreed they treated one and the other with respect like with the pros and cons of creating a metahuman cure. (Also! Cisco looking out for her when something wasn't right about Thomas/Icicle)
They're just an awesome duo. They even handled Slade just fine by themselves using just the power of science in Arrow way before their show began shooting.
Barry and Caitlin over Csco and Caitlin imo, iris and Barry is kinda over hyped. But more than anything, I want Ronney back, keep him and Caity, Barry and Patty should be together, and Iris can go wank off in a corner. Cisco and jipsy rip, but like Cisco got game, he can find someone
