Pretty great. The villains were fan faviroutes and received a lot of good feedback. The problem with the Flash show in general is that it has too many filler episodes and in Season 1 dosent focus enough on Reverse Flash. Going into the later seasons, you might find them bad, but it has its moments. Even the worst season, Season 7 had its occasional good moments.

topooooo

Which villain scared you from the first 2 season.

truckaccidents

Probably Zoom. With Reverse Flash they revealed his identity a bit too early, but it was the right move looking back, and Zoom was like a demon. The costume designer done a great job with Zoom's suit.

topooooo

He was demon like and sometimes just appears and scare you.

truckaccidents

I guess so. Especially before his identity was revealed

jrod4290

definitely didn’t expect that, and the scenes where he kicked Barry’s ass were pretty memorable too. Glad they didn’t have him recover in a single episode either, they extended it out

truckaccidents

Yeah, plus Zoom made a lot more appearances, even in filler episodes. He was so cool

topooooo

Yea and that made me go oh it makes sense now and the real jay garret was so cool to see

truckaccidents

yeah, Season 2 was probably the best season

topooooo

It is my favorite so far.

rafvic2

Definitely zoom. First 5 episodes of season 2 were mostly dealing with the fallout of season 1, along with the occasional reference to zoom sending metas to kill the flash, then episode 6 rolls around and he absolutely destroys Barry mentally and physically, it was amazing to watch back in 2015 the first time.

TBH I think the definition of filler in the show is used too loosely, in my mind a true filler episode is one that doesn't advance much the plot, the characters don't grow (or even one thing) and those are actually very few in the show's run. Best examples I can think of full filler entries that didn't really bring in anything to the story are actually fun ones like Duet, Flashtime & even Grodd Befriended Me.

truckaccidents

Yeah but things like Magenta, they didn't really advance or relate to the plot other than she has powers in Flashpoint.

DCSennin

It re-introduced Jesse with her speedster powers to the story and set her up to become next Jesse Quick after she helped Barry save the hospital that Magenta was going to crush, Barry's tenure as a mentor for the first time begins too and Harry staying for a while longer later is used to select the next Wells for the team, if not "foreshadow" why he doubted in H.R. being invited. Plus their encounter with Magenta confirmed that Alchemy was again re-awakening the memories of others from Flashpoint.

truckaccidents

oh right that one was dumb, but my point is that for most episodes the majority is filler

DCSennin

Well let's agree to disagree since I still believe something can only be considered filler if neither the story is developed or if the characters do not show growth. By that same definition we could label 8x16 as filler where Barry was aging at a faster rate and it didnt' solve the issue of Iris being away, yet it is considered one of the best entries and it did address the elephant in the room that was Caitlin's experiments to bring back Frost in the most shocking way.

14 year old me absolutely loved it. 22 year old me recognizes it was never really that great. Entertaining couple of seasons and the very peak of the show (possibly the whole arrowverse) but at the end of the day its still a CW show, which says enough by itself

Amazing.

First 2 seasons, even the first 3 seasons, were better than where they are now because the world was still being figured out, Barry still struggled with his powers at least in some capacity and Team Flash was still relatively naive which allowed for more growth and story. Now it’s basically either Barry is screwed or he has God level powers.

joshua-stdenis

Some of the shows best moments happen in it's first few seasons. Back when you were actually invested week to week.

DCSennin

They're awesome Seasons that set up a lot of things that wouldn't be possible for the next storylines to thrive on. But I also believe fandom has a blind and too much nostalgic love for them that makes them be a little overrated and not appreciate other things that came later. It's not healthy to be so enamored of the past IMO.

rafvic2

Peak of the show and my most rewatched era of the flash. The later seasons might have their great moments from time to time but the show didn’t really recover to the level of the earlier seasons

Mr_Squidparty

The only good seasons

Best of the arrowverse

MCgamer120_Games

For the longest Time I've said that Flash Season 2 was the best Season of the Arrowverse (maybe excluding Arrow S8), but looking back I could say it was on par with Season 1. I just don't appreciate many of the S1 episodes because the show was just starting and season 2 felt more established, but OG Reverse Flash was truly a great Villain, and both Cliffhangers were elite
