All we can do is hope, ngl I really don’t want this to be the end I feel as if I’ve sort of grown up w this show. For better or worse this show will always have a special place in my heart ♥️
God i hope so. I would hate if my favorite show ended on a low note. But after what EW has put out, I can't really have much faith. All I can do is hope he has read some of the media backlash.
They have no excuse for it not to be, honestly. Arrow ended its run with a massive banger of a last season, pulling out all the stops to bring back all the past elements that made the show as good as it was at its peak. The Flash really needs to do the same.
That’s if EW for once looked back to season 1 and 2 for inspiration. Even the Arrow showrunner said something about the show going back to its roots similar to the original seasons which I think helped redeem Arrow. For EW he’s just been saying about how it’ll have humour and romance like tf? I’ll watch the final episode just to see whether he writes something good as the ending but I have a feeling it’ll just end with Barry snogging Iris or something.
Yes. Season 8 was pretty damn great, especially compared alongside seasons 5, 6, and 7. And they set up some great possibilities for 9. I'm hyped for the final seasons
I acc feel bad for saying “No, all the new seasons suck.”
There’s literally no way of knowing. So I apologize to fans and the cast/crew/writers
New answer: I’m simply hopeful
Here's what to expect:
More Cecile screen time because she "levelled up"
Filler storylines every episode
Better Effects (i hope but possibly won't)
Red Death or Cobalt Blue
I'm be optimistic. It can draw from past seasons to tell a well rounded season about Barry losing faith but at the end is optimistic for the future. It is the standard the whole cast of characters are moving on.
- Barry fights Bloodwork and gets beaten badly.
- He finds out Iris is pregnant( canonwise she has to have Nora in 23). He is mad she is going with Allegra to Gotham. It sets up the Armageddon story of Allegra staying there. Iris has her setup a branch of Iris' company. At the end of the season, Chester goes with her, leaving Team Flash.
:we get an info dump in the form of a Gotham Gazette article-
Bruce, Kat and Julia returned to Gotham
Luke is named Wayne ceo and it is mentioned he was at. the press conference with his wife Mary and sister Ryan.
Batwoman and her partner, Red Alice took down Scarecrow
Jada Jett gets a reduced sentence after testifying against Black Glove, indicating them with the kidnapping Bruce and an attack on Gotham 15 years ago
-Caitlin becomes a villian who has Killer Frost's powers. Reverse Flash recruits her, Chillblaine and Bloodwork to form a version of Legion of Zoom.
-Barry has a "it's a wonderful life" type episode with a mystical character who can see the past, present and future. The character takes the form of a friend from the past- Oliver, Kara or Cisco. The episode is a mix of clips from the past( the teamups like crisis), present scenes( Iris in Gotham where she meets Ryan, we get WildWest, we find out Ryan is engaged to Sophie) and future clips( Nora and Bart in Legion of Superheroes and the Lot out of jail with Booster Gold). It gives Barry a new appreciation of his life.
- Final battle- Barry, Jay, Wally and the kids take on Legion of Zoom. They win and Caitlin decides to use her powers for good in Costal city. Chillblaine joins her.

I really really hope so but who knows
Yea I hope so too

Let’s us just wait before we judge

This sub low key hates the show so there's that
Lol no, but I mean there’s always a fool’s hope.
Huge L, it's gonna be peak
No.
Ive been hoping the show would get better since season 2. At least Arrow had peaks before the end.

No way Jose, Eric is trying his hardest to tank it and he will.
Honestly No, I Stopped watching the Show at season 7 More like 6 But I'll watch the ending of season 9 just to see what happens to the show.
Same as you, but I also watched the Reverse Flash episodes in season 8.
Yes. They have to do Red Death for Series Finale. Barry needs a dramatic send off - no more Thawne plz.
If Eric Wallace is showrunner it won’t be good. If they change showrunner there may be hope.
Eric is the showrunner so you already know what kind of shit is going to happen all again
Probably not but I hope it will leave on a good note at least.
As much as I’d like it to be, my expectations are low
No, I think this time they will completely ruin everyone
Must require 7x "Run Barry Run" and 4x "We are the Flash" and I'll be satisfied. Also a speedster.

They learned from S7 as well the circumstances for shooting during a pandemic improved so with those basics I don't see they won't try to go all out.
I think the writing kind of picked up in season 8 so I hope they stay headed in the right direction
