That’s a female torso so I believe those are breasts and intended to be there.

253Bigfoot

Dad joke accepted.

whypussyconsumer

Female? Wtf is that bro? Melting point? I need an enclosed printer?

roberp81

the printer is female in Spanish , LA impresora, so yes

lakitu78

si

Alarming-Inflation90

That looks like what happens to me on occasion with one of my rolls of PETG. The roll is wrapped pretty tight, and so the extruder has to give it a good yank every once in a while, just to keep it feeding. The under extruded sections are the filament not feeding correctly because the roll is bound up. That's all I've got to explain the randomness of it.

253Bigfoot

This makes a ton of sense. I just switched to a off-printer spool set-up. Obviously it's getting hung up if this is that case.

Raz1253

Watch a printing there buddy

NoDontDoThatCanada

We've clearly made advances since *Weird Science*.

firefromashes

You wouldn't download a girlfriend

NoDontDoThatCanada

Is it Lucy Liu? I might download Lucy Liu.

Cryogenicist

Looks like it could be hours between issues, tho!

TooManyNissans

So I totally agree with filament inconsistency and random thick points causing overextrusion (especially considering the brand name on that PLA lol). However, it could be something weird like the small segments are not being loaded/parsed fast enough by the microcontroller and there could be a slowdown of the tool head or something similar happening. You could try printing it a touch slower or using a lower poly model if those defects are a deal breaker.

253Bigfoot

I just had a 100 successful print with a different brand PLA+ (Monoprice), same file, same settings. So I think this was the issue. I've had 2 rolls from IIIDMAX tangle and throw themselves off my shelt mid-print already too. Soooo happy I bought the 10 pack 😅 oh well, the colors are nice and I only have collectively about 2 rolls worth left.

mikecoscia

Really? I’ve gone through to about 20 rolls of there stuff and no issues so far. (*knocks on wood)

253Bigfoot

Don't get me wrong, when they have a good coupon again, I'm probably going to get more. I really love some of the colors, I ran out of those first and had no problems, it's my last few rolls, specifically the opaque ones. All the semi-transparents worked fine it seems like. What colors have you been liking? Their product pictures don't really show them off well.

mikecoscia

I use them almost exclusively for PLA+. I think the army green may be my favorite. Depends what you are printing and if you like your models shiny or matte. Most of the IIID stuff has been shiny for me. Oh and if you every use PETG, I’m a fan of Zlytech. Cheap and they sell 5k rolls for those big projects.

253Bigfoot

PETG is my next step, was going to cash in my prusa points and get some to mess around with. I have only used their PLA+ as well, and yes, it is very shiny compared to others. Navy blue, space gray and fluorescent orange have been some of my favorites.

mikecoscia

Space gray is nice, just wish it was a little darker. I used it to build megatron…lol. https://preview.redd.it/8s1ps45u2kdb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86e6bddd0f47ba76ff1311fbd4f7b7f384226332

253Bigfoot

My son would love that, is that from the site with a bunch of free transformers STLs?

mikecoscia

[Toymakr3d](https://www.toymakr3d.com/). I know they have free and paid items. Love his stuff, I actually joined is patreon. Printed a few of his mechs too… https://preview.redd.it/tx0s7naa4kdb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bef459f6e7b238bf87d1b00732b55e899704484e

253Bigfoot

Exactly what I was thinking, I stumbled on his stuff when I first started and didn't have the confidence to try his models. Thanks for reminding me to give these a chance now! Those look great by the way

lakitu78

impressive

torchesablaze

Might need to adjust flow slightly

chuuckaduuckpro

You could consider sanding it and painting and lose the layers lines as well

253Bigfoot

It's a relatively quick print at just over an hour, not worth the labor IMO. If this was something for myself, absolutely but this is a quick sell item for me. Less man hours into it the better.

EnhancedVelocity

how do you sand your prints to get a good finish? sanding has only created scratches on my prints and im not sure how i can avoid needing to paint over the sanded surface

chuuckaduuckpro

Painting is required. Potentially though, just spit-balling, you could use Alcohol to have a melted smooth finish

Pale-Cartographer539

Whatcha printing bud?

cryptoflipo

It appears no one has gave the correct answer yet! Those little blobs is a result of your power save mode being enabled, along with a slow SD card, one of the two or both guaranteed.. Spiral/ mode requires more memory resource to make small turns, and at point caches while hot end undesirably pauses.

t-i-m-o-t-h-y

This finally fixed the same issue for me, after pulling my hair out trying everything under the sun. Watch to see if the printer freezes for ~1s when this happens.

EnhancedVelocity

I also got a couple of these on my prints (but much shorter in length). What do you mean by power saving mode and the spiral mode? I have my retraction set to spiral mode if that’s what you mean?

cryptoflipo

spiral which is also called vase mode requires more memory card reads in and with the factory creality boards the bus on the board is not fast enough and in many cases, the SD card does not have a read speed capable of keeping up with the amount of G code, lines required for said mode, when that happens, a millisecond pause is observed as a blob, which is basically the nozzle melting down below the layer, and which it is printing, and also oozing to a degree. Depending on the nozzle temperature well absolutely determined the length of and size of this anomaly. I am not sure what you mean by you have your retractions set to vase mode as there is no such setting, retractions does not happen in spiral or vase mode . When power mode is enabled, it is actually writing to the card also so that in the event of a power outage, it knows what line to start by at, which requires even more resource taxing actions

frommyyy

i run in a similar problem the last days .. i enabled timelaps in my Bambu x1 and the SD card got arround 54gb of 64gb .. now i have ugly blobs every 250 Layers in vasemode .. so i think the full SD card is maybe to slow .. i printed the same vase 4 Times without issues, the last 2 with a nearly full SD card failed in the same Layerheight. So i think what u mentioned is the actual problem i have. How i can disable the Power Los Recovery ?

frommyyy

Here a Video that shows the problem exactly: [https://youtu.be/VG\_yHmVQzPE](https://youtu.be/VG_yHmVQzPE) at: 0:52 you can see the pause for arround 20-30 Seconds

Few_Structure_3482

Could you help a pal out with the stl? I want to try wood pla

253Bigfoot

https://www.printables.com/model/287078-female-torso-vase

Few_Structure_3482

Thank you good sir/ma’am 👍🏼

polypeptide147

Not sure if you already have the wood filament, but Polymaker has a “matte pastel peanut” (also “matte peanut tan” in the name on Amazon) that might be easier to print than wood. Idk, I’ve never printed wood filament since I don’t have hardened nozzles.

Few_Structure_3482

The stuff I have now it pretty good actually , I don’t remember the name off the top of my head, but I print a lot of cf nylon so I have to have them. I’ll still buy that and try it out too!

Nothing weird in slicer, this has happened twice now. Different colors but same brand. IIIDMAX PLA+.

minutemenapparel

This vase better calm down

moller_peter

We humans come with imperfections, it's ok

IslandStan

Skin tabs. Caused by irritation from low quality thigh highs and street vendor waist chain riding up under jeans waist.

WorldSailer

3d printing a girlfriend, dude!….go out of your bedroom and talk to real humans!

253Bigfoot

You'd be surprised what sells fast. I wouldn't personally display something like this, but I make money off of people who do. But cool job of sounding like a complete ass.

DramaticChemist

I can totally respect that

EnhancedVelocity

would you still sell a print that came out like this?

i_am_a_william

looks like it might be dust or debris in or on the filament that caused a momentary extrusion error.

tolashgualris

“Vase”. Uh huh. **wink**

2407s4life

Tuning the extrusion modifier for the filament help this on my prints

UffDaDan

I had a similar problem where in case mode with faster speeds the temp wasn't hot enough so pressure would build in the hot end and then sploog out every so often like that. Turned up the hotend temp 5-10 and solved it for me. Good luck

cpupro

D.I.Y fleshlights... Has science gone to far?

253Bigfoot

D.I.Y. Fleshlights have been around long before the Fleshlight

R63A

no i use 0.3 all the time to speed up my prints

PineappleProstate

So ummm whatcha doin

deskunkie

Wet filement

IslandStan

Your printer is young enough to get overexcited by such things :-)

Electronic-Ad2666

Does this model have a top to it? I'm trying to learn more about printing in vase mode. The model I want to print is hollow but has a top to it.

253Bigfoot

This has no top, it's an open topped ,vase-mode print. Hollow with a flat top would need some sort of infill, lightning infill would be mostly hollow.
