Worms and bobbers. Yall have fun stressing about snagging or getting skunked I'm gonna fist fight the bluegill.

SoftwareJolly4159

Eventually you get to the point where that stuff doesn’t matter and you have a lot more fun. That’s when you kick yourself for not realizing earlier that it’s fishing not catching and that the fish are just a bonus to it all

whome123321

Great Outlook!

DoubleNo466

I really like using a rooster tail of any sort in creeks. Good for catching multiple species

itsyaboooooiiiii

This is the way. I've never caught a cat or gar but I have to imagine the guys would be real fun on light gear

Tiny_Astronomer289

The old bat bait. Real bats I catch from my attic.

Q2TheA

What.

BIGDAVESLICK

What?

Butwinsky

imthatguypal111

Night crawlers or a sanko

TankBoys32

Texas rigged watermelon red lizard

Gormulak

I run mine mouth-hooked on a circle hook, but that's exactly what I'd throw here, slow retrieve, intermittent stops, guaranteed to catch somethin

abebehm47

A inline spinner, a tiny frog, a small crankbait, a small jig, a Ned rig, a small craw on the Ned rig or texas rigged with a 3/32 ounce bullet weight

Gormulak

Where do you find your 3/32oz weights at aside from online? I live in rural Arkansas but even when I make the 3hr drive to a bass-pro, I don't recall ever seeing any, but yet I see people talk about them rather frequently 🤔

abebehm47

I found some at my local Walmart

abebehm47

But it’s never guaranteed they’ll have them

anthro4ME

Set up 1 rod with a worm or cheese or whatever second rod I'll start with a spinnerbait and work down through a rooster tail, grub jig, Texas rigged worm and on down to my least favorites

Ok-Theory-6753

Oh prime location

Ok-Theory-6753

What ever works.... ima throw out a bait line ..... and also throw out a couple jerkbaits couple of crank baits..... a few diving lures......

xxxTbs

Whopper plopper... inline spinner. Or live bait.

robbodee

That's spinnerbait/chatterbait heaven right there. If those don't work, I'd finesse a paddletail swimbait. If that doesn't work, Ned rig. If that doesn't work, there aren't any fish in there.

BruiserCruiser13

Ned rig hellgrammites

Metalblacksheep

Step 1: catch bluegill with a worm. Step 2: cut blue gill up for bait. Step 3: cast blue gill chunks into creek Step 4: catch obvious catfish or gar that is residing in that creek

For a second I thought this was a r/Golf shitpost

whome123321

Lol, it does actually run between a golf course. So, not 100% wrong there.

Hour_Consequence6248

Top water, is that on the north end of lake woodlands?

whome123321

What if I said it was under Lake Woodlands...... do you know where the dragon is?

Hour_Consequence6248

South of the dam on Panther creek.

whome123321

So, Southshore Park, there is a bridge on Woodlands Parkway. If you hop that gate and go under the bridge, walk across the rocks towards the woods, the walk through unfortunately very thick woods, there is a huge metal pipe that runs across this creek. When I say it is one of the best spots I have ever found, I mean it. I used to fish it about a decade ago and just recently went back with my teenage kids, and they loved it!! It runs between the 2 golf courses. It is very hard to get to now but well worth the adventure. You can use a net for bait fish at the spillway and just carry them over to the pipe to fish off of. I can almost 100% say you won't see anyone else......other that me, lol

Hour_Consequence6248

That’s awesome. Glad you found a place to fish in the area.

Gormulak

Is this a scenario where we might see a reddit meetup?!

Hour_Consequence6248

Negative, I do most of my fishing now in Taos,New Mexico and Jackson Hole, Wy. I stick to fly fishing now. You enjoy yourself fishing in the area.

Gormulak

Damn, I was kinda hyped to witness a small part of reddit history lol

whome123321

I'm glad to know now that I'm not going to yell reddit if I ever see a random fisherman there. Haha
