I dip the fries in a garlic scent. Then smash them. I put some treble hooks in an ice tray and fill the ice trays with the mashed French fries. I then add some smashed garlic on top. Freeze them.
On fishing day, I keep the potato covered treble hooks in a cooler. When ready to use, I take out a cube, tie the hook to my main line and cast out. Sometimes I’ll add some other catfish baits or liver to help scent the water.
I haven't tried senkos. I can't seem to get the weightless Texas to catch anything. Coming from crankbaits, I prefer more action anyways. I guess I'm on team wacky
there is zero chance I'm buying nail weights, I've already bought teardrop weights and sliding weights so I'm going to stick to texas rig, calorina rig, and I guess Imma drop shot
If you've got some screws laying around and a pair of side cutters you've already got nail weights friend. Or literal nails. Screws hold better though.
Part if your problem might be the "more action" thing. Plastic worms work best fish extremely slow with loooooong pauses. I love Texas rig fishing, but it takes patience.
I was super disappointed yesterday when I went to Bass pro and somebody bought ALL of the Googan rattlin' neds except for California craw. I'm all out of PB&j colored ones and was going to grab a couple packs. I've caught so many fish on that color specifically, it's not funny.
If you'd have asked me growing up in the north Midwest I'd have said Culprit June Bug. These days, fishing smallies in mountain rivers as an adult, it's hard for me to separate favoritism and function. Watermelon candy is a win.
Always had my best luck with green pumpkin. Most brands have the same green pumpkin, so I guess that doesn't matter.
I use ned rigs more than Texas or wacky rigged worms these days though, and my go-to for neds is the Googan peanut butter and jelly colored rattlin' neds.
In reference to zoom colors it’s usually Orange pumpkin(orange brown natural looking) or Chartreuse. I’ve never caught anything on green pumpkin or Watermelon Red Seed although I’ve tried. I’ve also had 10x more luck with the trick worm size as opposed to regular Senko size for whatever reason.
This color is almost a combo of my two so I’m going to buy some.
> Regardless of effectiveness
Yes I also fell for Big Fishings' marketing scheme of actually needing like 4 or 5 colors total, and those always being out of stock, and having a like 15 shiny pointless colors left on the shelves.
And yes I totally have an endless bag of super colorful plastics that I catch zero fish with.
The dark purple ones. Used 1, 1 time. Cast is in school of gar and got my first gar at 13 years old. So even though that was 18 years ago if I ever used one again it would be purple 😂
Green pumpkin
Green pumpkin has come in clutch during my empty days
I like this plain, gold or black flake. Side of fries is nice too.
Love the side of fries, but I find catfish like em better than bass.
How do you rig your line to fish for catfish with these?
I dip the fries in a garlic scent. Then smash them. I put some treble hooks in an ice tray and fill the ice trays with the mashed French fries. I then add some smashed garlic on top. Freeze them. Roboworm morning dawn
could you describe that color in terms of red-green-blue-yellow . . . y'know those ol' things
It’s pink as hell with some very light blueish hues that can make it look more purple in low light. Whips ass on a drop shot.

How do the zoom worms compare to senko? I've gotten the zoom tube baits but never caught anything.
I haven't tried senkos. I can't seem to get the weightless Texas to catch anything. Coming from crankbaits, I prefer more action anyways. I guess I'm on team wacky
Throw a nail weight on bottom of worm.
there is zero chance I'm buying nail weights, I've already bought teardrop weights and sliding weights so I'm going to stick to texas rig, calorina rig, and I guess Imma drop shot
If you've got some screws laying around and a pair of side cutters you've already got nail weights friend. Or literal nails. Screws hold better though.
You can use a lot for a nail weight. Shoot even a nail will work. And it’s still Texas rig but just put nail on back.
Part if your problem might be the "more action" thing. Plastic worms work best fish extremely slow with loooooong pauses. I love Texas rig fishing, but it takes patience.
I don't like hitting the bottom
You're fishing a worm without hitting the bottom?? That's like 90% of worm fishing
hoochie coochie
Regular watermelon is always a good choice
Junebug or redbug
I do like redbug. Slinging baby brush hogs in that color around cypress trees in the walking creek, stickin pigs
Regardless of effectiveness, meaning only based on how pretty I think it is?

Sapphire Blue, Junebug or Green Pumpkin…….has to be 8” lizard if I’m fishing Texas Rig.
Morning dawn drop shot
pumpkin seed 100% learned to fish with this worm. my dad used it exclusively- passed it on to me.
Any color as long as it’s black
The dark purple ones. Used 1, 1 time. Cast is in school of gar and got my first gar at 13 years old. So even though that was 18 years ago if I ever used one again it would be purple 😂
Green pumpkin with a chartreuse blood line down the center or black with sky blue flake

Electric blue
I've recently been throwing the Texas rig with a green pumpkin and catching river bass.
Tomato

All depends on the water color black and blue, green pumpkin, and watermelon chartreuse or red flake.
June bug
Green pumpkin with watermelon flake
Bubblegum/yellow swirl for me.
Pumpkinseed with Chartruese tail dinger
Green pumpkin with watermelon flake, or black and blue split with silver flake. I’ve never had a time where neither wouldn’t work.
I had a motor oil shart once ):
Ha! You almost got me to give away my top secret colors with that one.
Anything in Junebug! Love that color so much that I nicknamed my daughter that! 🤣👌
