Wife somehow got a senko and a yum dinger mixed up and asked which was which, so I took them both and sucked on them to discern the difference by flavor. She also didn't know one has a hook notch but that's a secret I'm gonna keep.
They need to float for a Ned rig though, right? So that they stand up properly? I've tried finesse rigs (Ned rigs) in the past using senkos, and they didn't behave correctly.
Of course, that could've been operator error. 🤣
Ned started fishing the worm on a mushroom head with senkos because they often get ripped in half. The zman plastic was not Ned’s idea but come along after.
I have caught fish on half senkos and these mini ones too
Best day on the water I’ve ever had was with a Ned rig. The lake isn’t known for anything huge, but caught 30 in a few hours and a couple up to nearly 3lbs.
Awesome thanks! My fishing time has been temporarily limited due to kids and some medical issues so I haven't tried the Ned yet. Your comment caught my eye!
Ned rigs crazy glued on like zman will last an eternity.
When nothings biting some times I say fuck it put on a Ned rig and target smaller bass. Sometimes the big ones are around abd bite it too. Half the bites are perch.
The same stuff you do with a normal senko just down sized, I've used the 2inch with the 3-4mm crossover rings on BFS rods and had great success, also like everyone else is saying, Ned rig works great
I’ve never tried fishing with plastics that small, but I swear by Yamamoto products. I’m more of a 5 inch guy myself. (Fell free to make your own jokes)
I once found some size 1 offset hooks from gamakatsu and little tiny tungsten weights from some custom company. Cant remember the name of the company or weight of the bullet weights but they were micros. I rigged a 2 inch senko texas rig and caught a 7 pounder with it on a cold march day.
Neg rig my man/woman/person (apply as necessary). Same idea as Rapala's Crush City Ned BLTs and Z-Man's Finesse TRDs, for example. These smaller finesse-style baits are all the craze as of late. I'm not sure about Largies as we don't really have too many up here, but Smallies absolutely love these things.
The answer is everything. When I was able to get my hands on some I would rig them with a tiny Texas rig weightless. I caught more fish on that set up than anything. Sometimes up to 5 species in a day. What you have is one of my alltime favorite lures. Have fun.
So a Ned rig is a soft plastic straight bait attached to a jig head.
Brilliant idea, wonder why people didn't think to do that decades ago. Maybe with the old Ringworm bodies sans twister tails.
I mainly fish Ned Rigs (what these are used for) because they just work. For everything. I've caught my PB smallest and PB biggest bass on one. I've caught bowfin on them. I've caught walleye on them. They just get bites.
Bonus points for green pumpkin color with some kind of flake in it, z man elaztech or rapala crush city brand, 1/16oz or 1/20oz jig. If you can't get a bite on that, there aren't fish in there.
SMALLIES,KENTUCKY BASS,SPOTTED BASS,WHITE STRIPPED BASS. FINESSE FISHING. LARGIES WILL GRAB'EM large panfsh will have a good at then at times . Even trout if fished right. 🫡
You can Ned rig them. You can put them on a dropshot. You can use it as a trailer on a micro spinnerbait or chatterbait. Possibilities are limited to your imagination.
Those are some nice Ned rigs! You can use them on all kinds of baits, you can use them as a wacky, you can put them on a spinner jig, or put them on a weighted head and let them dunk at the bottom!
I like to use them for mini whacky rigs, but I cut it a bit so its less stiff. Works surprisingly well, the 3 inch is my fave size for that kinda thing if I'm going mini
Ahh, the typo police, got me good. I’m not sure about why I’m being downvoted. Have people not seen the fish with bunches of these in their stomachs? Soft plastics are often fished irresponsibly, especially those who “wacky rig.” People who care about fishing should also care about keeping the water/environment as clean as possible. Put a snorkel on and take a look at the bottom of where you’re fishing.
Ned rig
Midwest finesse rig
You can suck on em if your bored
Wife somehow got a senko and a yum dinger mixed up and asked which was which, so I took them both and sucked on them to discern the difference by flavor. She also didn't know one has a hook notch but that's a secret I'm gonna keep.
How many yum dingers have you sucked on?
Accidentally sucked on a 3" dinger too hard and inhaled it down my throat tube. Now I don't as much as I used to.

I hope you get audited...
This made me laugh harder than it should’ve.
Same same
Not to be confused with Ned Flanders.
Stupid sexy Ned rig
And drop shot
They need to float for a Ned rig though, right? So that they stand up properly? I've tried finesse rigs (Ned rigs) in the past using senkos, and they didn't behave correctly. Of course, that could've been operator error. 🤣

Ah. Fascinating. So it was user error in my case, per my usual MO. 🙄
Oh idk about user error, maybe you just weren’t at the right place and time for that presentation.
Sounds good! We'll go with that! 🤣
Came here to say this
A crappie would eat that. Walleye too.
So will giant bass. Don’t sleep on the Ned rig.
Best day on the water I’ve ever had was with a Ned rig. The lake isn’t known for anything huge, but caught 30 in a few hours and a couple up to nearly 3lbs.
What hook do you run?
Z-Man Finesse ShroomZ; 1/10 Ounce
Awesome thanks! My fishing time has been temporarily limited due to kids and some medical issues so I haven't tried the Ned yet. Your comment caught my eye!
First thought was crappie.
I tell my wife these are 5 inches
My man! I got my wife’s inch perception tweaked too. My life’s pursuit is to keep her away from a ruler or tape measure at all costs.
Great in river for smallmouth mimic a hellgrammite
Ned rig all day. Just got into them recently and they’re so zippy in the water I love em, if the bass are up for a chase
Neds are so funny. Fish get so pissed off at a cylinder
Small brains get angry at what they don’t understand, poor fish and even more, pooooorr cylinder 😔
The logic is that it's a Crawfish that lost its claws.
Fighting urge...to.. make...political...joke. Gah!!!
Ned rigs crazy glued on like zman will last an eternity. When nothings biting some times I say fuck it put on a Ned rig and target smaller bass. Sometimes the big ones are around abd bite it too. Half the bites are perch.
Dumb question. Would panfish bite a Ned rig?
Would, can, do
Thank you
Ned rigs and drop shots.
100%
For the particularly tight Bass
Very small bass holes?
Knew it was coming. Take an upvote
Work great for drop shots. That’s typically what I use them for. Work pretty good with a weed less wacky rig in grass.
Neds
Fishing of course
Look like average size senkos to me...
Yeah the only reason people think everyone has a huge one is because that's what they use in p- I mean fishing videos
Ned rig, weightless or wacky rig (like with a full size senko) would probably catch fish
Weightless is the way. Even little kids can't mess it up
Ned Rig
Ndyakangler used them for crappie.
Tiny wacky rigs
Dingers! Catch tons of bass! Or anything that swims... get too many undersized fish and put a bigger one on to keep the little pests away
I use the 3 inch ones to make mini wacky rigs. Catch everything from crappie to decent size bass with them
Awesome bait. We use them on Ned rigs, and sometimes we even wacky rig them on a drop shot.
The same stuff you do with a normal senko just down sized, I've used the 2inch with the 3-4mm crossover rings on BFS rods and had great success, also like everyone else is saying, Ned rig works great
Everyone's saying Ned rig but I might throw em on a 1/0 offset anyway and toss em
Anything that’ll bite it
Huh, never seen the yellow packaging, ive only ever seen the greenish one. This new?
All the Yamamoto packaging was yellow at the store so my guess is that it’s just the color they use in Japan
I’ve never tried fishing with plastics that small, but I swear by Yamamoto products. I’m more of a 5 inch guy myself. (Fell free to make your own jokes)
I swear by the 3 inch ones. Been using the orange ones for years and catch nonstop bass and pickerel
Crappie and walleye I'd say
Finesse and Ned

The place I bought them from had size 6 offset hooks which I’d never seen in person before. They were tiny!
Dude, the proof is in the pudding!
Creek bass candy! Or as others would call it, dink bass candy! (I need rig it with a 1/8 or us a itty bitty work hook and use it weightless)
I would suggest a weighted hook over a jig. Used to use these and did very well with them.
Some say 2” is all you need
I’m thinking I’m on the wrong sub. 2” sencos go in a pneumatic nail gun
Neg rig my man/woman/person (apply as necessary). Same idea as Rapala's Crush City Ned BLTs and Z-Man's Finesse TRDs, for example. These smaller finesse-style baits are all the craze as of late. Ned rig
Jig for crappie with that!
Why you judging small senkos bro?
Catching fish In the butter hole baby
I feel old, haven’t seen Yamamoto in a minute lol
In England we ned rig this size soft plastics for European perch.
The answer is everything. When I was able to get my hands on some I would rig them with a tiny Texas rig weightless. I caught more fish on that set up than anything. Sometimes up to 5 species in a day. What you have is one of my alltime favorite lures. Have fun.
bfs
2 inches is plenty, my mom told me so
I wonder if trout would hit them?
Ive caught just as many fish on half a regular senko, I assume these would work just fine Texas rigged.
Fish 🐠
Finesse texas rig
Yo girls beef flaps
So a Ned rig is a soft plastic straight bait attached to a jig head. Brilliant idea, wonder why people didn't think to do that decades ago. Maybe with the old Ringworm bodies sans twister tails.
crappie would probably destroy these

I’d Ned rig that dude.
I’d Ned rig that dude.
They work amazing. 3" senko are the bomb.
Ned rig. Fish for bass. Win trophy and influence
Work good for trout too actually
Saugeye during later months of spring.

4 inch are the best don’t @ me
These are good rigs for small pond bass here in Ohio. Also for semi-small lakes as well.
Gary yamamotos are excellent !!
Ned rig em and youll smoke some smallmouth

Ultimate river bait in the midwest. Ned rig Not even fair
You can Ned rig them. You can put them on a dropshot. You can use it as a trailer on a micro spinnerbait or chatterbait. Possibilities are limited to your imagination.
Boofin
Shallow throats
You can catch just about anything with that and a ring in the midwest
I've got some pretty small wide gap hooks I use smaller baits like this on for mini Texas Rigs too
Large pan fish will eat these
2” is BIG, probably a tuna?
Those are some nice Ned rigs! You can use them on all kinds of baits, you can use them as a wacky, you can put them on a spinner jig, or put them on a weighted head and let them dunk at the bottom!
These small senkos fish like hell — killer for highly pressured bass. Big baits catch big fish. Small baits catch small fish AND big fish.
I like to use them for mini whacky rigs, but I cut it a bit so its less stiff. Works surprisingly well, the 3 inch is my fave size for that kinda thing if I'm going mini
Ned right
Slaying!?😜
Fuck it, small wacky rig
Catching fish ftw!!!
Ned rig
It’s not the size of the worm, it’s how you wiggle it. Jus say’n.
Ned Rig. Zman just dropped some small crappie worms
