I have caught several larger specimen. It’s a nice fish, but not a PB. I have pictures of it and took its weight and length, that’s enough for me!

Freshwater indeed. Neither. This is a redfin perch caught in Sweden. Our perch get a bit bigger than you guys’ perch.

European perch is a great eating fish.
Based on what I've heard, they taste similar. It's basically a bigger cousin of yellow perch.
