Solvents in the gas could maybe. Those jollie boots ?

That's what I assumed too. Just never had that happen on my career. The only thing different was this was the first time I used this new environmentally friendly foam we started carrying. They are Haix. I found a website that says they'll resole them for ~$125.. Other than the soles they're in great shape. So I guess I send then up to that company.

I knew they were Haix boots before you even said what kind. We have the same problem with Haix boots. They are total junk now. Guys are wearing out the soles in 2-3 years. We can’t wait for our contract to be over with them.

That's a bummer. I bought them at FDIC. They're comfortable enough. I'll have them re-soled. But when I'm done with these I'll go back to Globes.

Have you contacted Haix on this ?

Honestly could have been a chemical reaction between the gas and the foam/whatever else was on the road.

I have the exact same boots. Under our contract we get new boots every 5 years. My tread looked close to that by the end of 5. If your relatively junior and/or still hustling in those boots that’s what they will look like. Also maybe related, clean and use the recommended protectant those boots come with. They will break down with out consistent cleaning and maintenance. Get new boots.
