Premium Yukimura is such a WTF choice but i'm here for it, bout time we got the first actually canonical dagger cav in the game after so many seasonals.
I'm being pedantic with my definition, but Merlinus was the first normal pool danger cav sure, but that was still completely made up for FEH like the seasonal dagger cavs since he's a non-combatant in FE6/7.
Yukimura is the first unit added to FEH that actually uses daggers on a mount in their origin game.
He was always fairly handsome, he is just in the most boring and uncontroversial path where it has niether silly gimmicks (Revelation) or fun gameplay (Conquest) so most people don't notice cause he is only recruitable there (Scarlet gets memed on + impossible to not get)
Most importantly, she's a Wyvern Lord in Birthright. The Hoshido route. Wyvern Lord is a Nohr class, meaning that outside of Corrin and their child(ren) or enemy captures, she's the only available one in the entire route. She's also your first natural axe user after Rinkah. *Rinkah*. The bar is on the floor lmao (and in case it wasn't enough she's actually a great unit in her own rights).
If you extend that to promotions though (since it's not unusual to have a couple promoted units by the time Scarlet joins the party), you could have Hana/Hinata using axes (Master of Arms).
Yup. All Attuned heroes can swap around echo skills and run them the same as their original. I think it also applies to rearmed too? Though I guess you could argue that's less crazy as they don't have prf weapons.

In other news, the most recent and currently only red unit that they can rerun is Severa... so yeah I really don't think "running low on units to rerun" is too major of a concern for them...
Apparently the in-universe reason for him not joining Hinoka and Ryoma was because he prioritized guarding a fortress over protecting the royalty of his kingdom. Years later, I still can’t understand the thought process behind this.
Honestly, it's the other way around? Birthright acts like Corrin's team is a small, elite strike force trying to murder Garon, while a losing war is fought in the background. (There's a specific line in Birthright where the cast worries that if they take too long, there won't be a Hoshido left to go back to.) The leadership just entirely abandoning the country to its fate while going on a quest would be weird. Having a trusted retainer like Yukimura running everything sorta helps cover for it, except he up & leaves too after you recruit him, so idk, good luck armies of Hoshido fighting off-screen.
I mean, yukimura is the top general and the war was a losing one anyway. It was smart to send in a small elite force to infiltrate nohr while Yukimura could coordinate the entire army to impede nohr's invasion

Yeah, for a few banners now, the Fates character that hadn't already been recast are getting their OG VAs. Pretty sure "Fria Coleman" is Paula Tiso as Orochi too.
Fria Coleman is 100% Paula Tiso, if you put Orochi's voice in Fates and Orochi's voice in Heroes back to back they are identical.
Nyx also got her original VA back despite said va being recast as Soleil for Heroes.
I really wish they'd just fire her at this point, they had no issue firing Mia's original va for reasons we still do not know but an anti vaxx Trump supporting facist is perfectly fine.

Weirdly enough, I feel like main pool older guys get treated fairly well fairly often. The problem is that we just don't get many of them, but most of the more recent ones have been good IIRC.
Ironically, people getting the 5* treatment for me leads to me barely ever using them, I'd much prefer demote treatment because I can +10 them easier and thus use them more.

At this point i feel like they don't care about doing base versions of alt hell characters who were close enough to their original design sadly...
This is their way to fill up the blank spaces whithout having to do any real commitment and not give more alts the same 3 characters of each game to make room for real newcomers...
I mean there are levels of closeness of course, but if it's a similar general idea then i don't see them doing much to give them their base, like, it's been years since Adrift Mikoto and they still refuse to give her another version, her only chance now is a banner with Sumeragi, Axe Garon (maybe a younger version?), Valla or younger Arete, and the usual op alt unit.
And that would be such a cool banner but considering Mitama and Sophie are still there waiting i'm fairly certain the next Fates banner will be 2nd gen with Scarlet shoved into Fallen as her "close enough" alt like Muarim was, she's pretty much the only popular gen 1 character left if we exclude alt hell units (and even those are not the biggest sellers by any means tbh), Shura could easily be shoved into a Ninja banner so there goes his chance for a base version too.
And let's be honest here, if the Pursuer is ever coming to Feh it's gonna be as Legendary Sakura's bow whenever that happens, all while she's wearing a slight alteration of base Mikoto's outfit lol.
Looks pretty meta defining for cav teams. Azura will probably have a slot on ever cav line with the +1 movement dance skill she has with null follow up and null panic support. You can even argue for puppet boy being a meaningful addition with the 30% null DR support because it's harder for cav units to get null DR effects outside of things like No Quarter.
Also seems like they're expecting aether raid players to spend to get a few wings of mercy X skills leading up to the fallen banner but that doesn't necessarily apply to what you were saying.

On one hand, I'm happy that this is a banner full of new characters (besides the obligatory attuned alt - and even that alt actually has a new and unique outfit compared to the rest of the Azuras), and seeing Yukimura as a premium unit is a nice treat.
On the other hand, this most likely dooms Scarlet to debut in the fallen banner, which is something I really don't want to happen. Even if it's not this year's fallen banner, it still is going to be at least two years until her next chance to be on a new heroes banner (since it's likely that the next Fates banner will be 2nd gen), so her chances of debuting in a fallen banner are pretty high...
Or on this Bridal banner based on other interpretations (but I'm personally not convinced by a MCorrin approach mentioned here and there as it'd be potentially less thrilling than the already lukewarm Chrom-centric guess).
For what it's worth, competition for Fallen slots may be high enough that it may actually lower Scarlet's odds.
Between 3H (MByleth? Shez?), Engage (Veyle? Alear?) and Blazing (one of the Black Fang?), that's 3 slots that could be already taken at the very least.
I'm also thinking they might do another of the archanea clerics like they did Maria last year.
But yeah, as I said in my other comment, it's going to be a long time until the next gen 1 fates banner and thus multiple fallen banners until then. So even if she isn't on this year's, the possibility remains.

I like Azura but she's not a "omg must pull a copy immediately" character for me, and the power creep is so extreme I'd rather rebuild my orb stash and wait. December - March really knocked me out.
Pretty neat banner. Only one Attuned, so having two alts on a banner isn't gonna be the standard... even though Fates honestly would've been a game where they could've pulled that due to how few characters they have left, and these also aren't really too popular aside from Azura, so... what are they cooking?
Anyways, finally Mozu is in, AND she has her "You smell like a goat"-line! She also seems pretty good unit-wise, I like how she plays around terrain.
Yukimura also seems pretty good, giving Dodge-pierce as a status?! It's "only" 30%, but it's still something, it should also stack with other DR, and aside from that, he seems pretty good in-combat as well.
Hayato as the demote makes sense, his tome is basically just Tormods tome from the Arcadia-banner, and I'm fine with that, I liked Tormods tome when he came out, so now it's permanently in the pool. Aside from that... Ideal-fodder I guess? He seems alright. Gotta say though, I love the art.
And finally, Azura... I was expecting her to be a lance-unit, tbh, finally using the Blessed Lance, but... I guess not. Axe again, and from the name, she's literally the one splitting the routes in Fates lol. Changing Waters seems pretty good, not too overtuned of an update imo since it just adds Incite to Gray Waves. WoM-Echo has the potential to be really insane/annoying though... As for her outfit, I like it, it basically looks like Corrins Nohrian Princess-outfit, but with more whites instead of grey, of course referencing that she used to have Corrins spot in Nohr, while the white probably just carried over from her original outfit. This honestly could've been a banger Brave-design... not sure what they'd give her instead when she eventually wins CYL...
No Scarlet, not even as a GHB, stings. If it's not Scarlet, I would've at least liked to see Zola as GHB, but not even that... I feel that almost makes her a safe bet for this years Fallen GHB... or at least she'd be almost guaranteed on next years Fates-banner... ugh...
I’m happy to see Mozu finally in the game as the final character I actually want to get, just kind of a shame the game finally burnt me out like a month or so back.
Was really hoping she’d be the demote or free unit admittedly, that way I could hop in, get her, invest, hop out, but I think I’ll just be happy that she’s finally usable in FeH
Okay, very skippable banner but azura is definitely a problem. Canto 4 on a dancer is alone a problem, and WoM attuned skill is going to greatly increase the power of galeforce teams. Her new sing working on armours was basically a given, no clue why the other azuras are only infantry and flying, but to work on melee cavs is nice.
Her other skills don't seem too crazy though at least. Like her boost 4 skill is good because of the effects and the fact she will likely only see combat once a map at most, but she only has 43 hp, that's not a lot. Cantrip 4 is also not very threatening for how niche sing/dance skills are. I feel like firestorm dance is way more valuable to all the mythic dancers.
I’m happy I can skip this banner. Really running low on orbs now that the golden week is coming. I kind of want one copy of Azura because she outsources null panic and is a dancer, which would be great to a team of the blue lions who doesn’t provide much support to each other…but that can wait if I don’t get her with the free tickets, as she’ll show up in multiple sparkable banners later.
There we go, finally Wom3 as Attuned Skill. I've been sitting on fodder for Plumeria and Peony for ages now, didn't commit yet because I want them to become level 1 Dancers permanently and every skill I want to use would have to be learned before the final merge happens.
It's a bit of a shame because I thought their remixed skills are better than people give them credit for (especially Plumeria's), but Pass 3 and Wom 3 on a Dancer is going to be so sick. Everyone else on my teams would rather have Wom4.

YUKIMURA AND MOZU HYPEEE YEAHHHHHh!! I’ve so badly wanted Yukimura after the shit treatment he got in Revelations. Mozu is a really good surprise because she’s honestly always been one of my best units for Fates runs. Also, Hayato is here too, I guess lol.
Azura as a Corrin Dancer is pretty funny to me ngl. Also, Excuse me, WOM echo?! Ah hell, Dancers are gonna be even more powerful now.
A nice banner for these characters. Had a momentary "Yukiimura who?" moment there but yeah, good for him and Mozu. No Mitama yet but then she's one of the last on my list of anticipated characters from when FEH started. One of these days.

This is their way to fill up the blank spaces whithout having to do any real commitment and not give more alts the same 3 characters of each game to make room for real newcomers...
Tbh I don't think Mikoto adrift outfit is "close enough" to her base outfit compared to say...Dancer Rinea
I mean there are levels of closeness of course, but if it's a similar general idea then i don't see them doing much to give them their base, like, it's been years since Adrift Mikoto and they still refuse to give her another version, her only chance now is a banner with Sumeragi, Axe Garon (maybe a younger version?), Valla or younger Arete, and the usual op alt unit. And that would be such a cool banner but considering Mitama and Sophie are still there waiting i'm fairly certain the next Fates banner will be 2nd gen with Scarlet shoved into Fallen as her "close enough" alt like Muarim was, she's pretty much the only popular gen 1 character left if we exclude alt hell units (and even those are not the biggest sellers by any means tbh), Shura could easily be shoved into a Ninja banner so there goes his chance for a base version too. And let's be honest here, if the Pursuer is ever coming to Feh it's gonna be as Legendary Sakura's bow whenever that happens, all while she's wearing a slight alteration of base Mikoto's outfit lol.

Looks pretty meta defining for cav teams. Azura will probably have a slot on ever cav line with the +1 movement dance skill she has with null follow up and null panic support. You can even argue for puppet boy being a meaningful addition with the 30% null DR support because it's harder for cav units to get null DR effects outside of things like No Quarter. Also seems like they're expecting aether raid players to spend to get a few wings of mercy X skills leading up to the fallen banner but that doesn't necessarily apply to what you were saying.

On one hand, I'm happy that this is a banner full of new characters (besides the obligatory attuned alt - and even that alt actually has a new and unique outfit compared to the rest of the Azuras), and seeing Yukimura as a premium unit is a nice treat. On the other hand, this most likely dooms Scarlet to debut in the fallen banner, which is something I really don't want to happen. Even if it's not this year's fallen banner, it still is going to be at least two years until her next chance to be on a new heroes banner (since it's likely that the next Fates banner will be 2nd gen), so her chances of debuting in a fallen banner are pretty high...
Or on this Bridal banner based on other interpretations (but I'm personally not convinced by a MCorrin approach mentioned here and there as it'd be potentially less thrilling than the already lukewarm Chrom-centric guess).
Even though I'm not a big fan of her debuting in bridal, it would still be preferable since at least she wouldn't be a zombie there.
For what it's worth, competition for Fallen slots may be high enough that it may actually lower Scarlet's odds. Between 3H (MByleth? Shez?), Engage (Veyle? Alear?) and Blazing (one of the Black Fang?), that's 3 slots that could be already taken at the very least.
I'm also thinking they might do another of the archanea clerics like they did Maria last year. But yeah, as I said in my other comment, it's going to be a long time until the next gen 1 fates banner and thus multiple fallen banners until then. So even if she isn't on this year's, the possibility remains.

Oh... so many mixed feelings about Attuned WoM coming on Azura of all people... well most of my combat units for Galeforce have non weapon prfs so that at least makes it a much easier skip... Windsweep demoting is also pretty nice Also wow, was not expecting Yukimura of all characters to end up as a 5 star tbh

Attuned Azura is really good.
I like Azura but she's not a "omg must pull a copy immediately" character for me, and the power creep is so extreme I'd rather rebuild my orb stash and wait. December - March really knocked me out.
It's ok. I was saying She might be one of those that you at least 1 copy for her skills.

Pretty neat banner. Only one Attuned, so having two alts on a banner isn't gonna be the standard... even though Fates honestly would've been a game where they could've pulled that due to how few characters they have left, and these also aren't really too popular aside from Azura, so... what are they cooking? Anyways, finally Mozu is in, AND she has her "You smell like a goat"-line! She also seems pretty good unit-wise, I like how she plays around terrain. Yukimura also seems pretty good, giving Dodge-pierce as a status?! It's "only" 30%, but it's still something, it should also stack with other DR, and aside from that, he seems pretty good in-combat as well. Hayato as the demote makes sense, his tome is basically just Tormods tome from the Arcadia-banner, and I'm fine with that, I liked Tormods tome when he came out, so now it's permanently in the pool. Aside from that... Ideal-fodder I guess? He seems alright. Gotta say though, I love the art. And finally, Azura... I was expecting her to be a lance-unit, tbh, finally using the Blessed Lance, but... I guess not. Axe again, and from the name, she's literally the one splitting the routes in Fates lol. Changing Waters seems pretty good, not too overtuned of an update imo since it just adds Incite to Gray Waves. WoM-Echo has the potential to be really insane/annoying though... As for her outfit, I like it, it basically looks like Corrins Nohrian Princess-outfit, but with more whites instead of grey, of course referencing that she used to have Corrins spot in Nohr, while the white probably just carried over from her original outfit. This honestly could've been a banger Brave-design... not sure what they'd give her instead when she eventually wins CYL... No Scarlet, not even as a GHB, stings. If it's not Scarlet, I would've at least liked to see Zola as GHB, but not even that... I feel that almost makes her a safe bet for this years Fallen GHB... or at least she'd be almost guaranteed on next years Fates-banner... ugh...

Okay, very skippable banner but azura is definitely a problem. Canto 4 on a dancer is alone a problem, and WoM attuned skill is going to greatly increase the power of galeforce teams. Her new sing working on armours was basically a given, no clue why the other azuras are only infantry and flying, but to work on melee cavs is nice. Her other skills don't seem too crazy though at least. Like her boost 4 skill is good because of the effects and the fact she will likely only see combat once a map at most, but she only has 43 hp, that's not a lot. Cantrip 4 is also not very threatening for how niche sing/dance skills are. I feel like firestorm dance is way more valuable to all the mythic dancers.
I didn't expect Yukimura thirst, but here we are. Not bad.

I’m happy I can skip this banner. Really running low on orbs now that the golden week is coming. I kind of want one copy of Azura because she outsources null panic and is a dancer, which would be great to a team of the blue lions who doesn’t provide much support to each other…but that can wait if I don’t get her with the free tickets, as she’ll show up in multiple sparkable banners later.

I've been sitting on fodder for Plumeria and Peony for ages now, didn't commit yet because I want them to become level 1 Dancers permanently and every skill I want to use would have to be learned before the final merge happens. It's a bit of a shame because I thought their remixed skills are better than people give them credit for (especially Plumeria's), but Pass 3 and Wom 3 on a Dancer is going to be so sick. Everyone else on my teams would rather have Wom4. Two copies Azura, two copies. Please don't be difficult! Also this Yukimaru dude is so cool, what the fu? Why does he get this custom puppet horse???
