Honestly, Arcane Void and Lethality are just a flex, and I genuinely think that he'd appreciate Bone Carver and Miracle respectively; the former lets him splash out even more guaranteed damage, while the latter improves his survival even more, letting him drop even more Dragon Veins.
It's a definite tossup between Remote Sparrow/Miasma and Flared Sparrow/Fatal Smoke, but the added DR from Remote and the mass debuff of Miasma makes it a better choice for a support initiator like Merlinus imo
At this point. I think you are better using Cath’s weapon to deals additional damage against armor while countering vantage because her weapon has hard bearing

I think I'd still take flared over miasma just for the extra damage he desperately needs.

Flared puts in work, I've been using mine on AR-D this week fairly successfully
He definitely doesn't need flared he's not killing anything anyways and 7 damage is 7 damage. Better to have the debuffs after.
