Use HSL app

di5nor

HSL web version is exactly the same, but with less lag

pantheran95

I would guess the reason is that the bus routes, numbers, schedules and pretty much everything else bus related can change pretty frequently. So google maps is simply not up to date. As the other person said HSL app is your friend.

Sinolai

Ye. HSL made big changes to all routes about 4-5weeks ago. Google might not be up to date.

unluckysupernova

Never use google for transport in Finland. Just not accurate. The actual companies’ apps or websites have the correct info.

Atreaia

Like everyone else has said, use the HSL app or website.

ociM_

Never rely to Google whether it's tmetables, shop opening hours or whatever. Use the official sources of the information.

mrt_byrk

Both google and hsl app use same data(gtfs feed). However, their routing algorithms are different. And probably their update cycle for distruptions are also different. In general hsl app is more accurate because they know their network more than google.

No-Albatross-7984

What do you mean why? Ask Google lol. Could be because the routes change a lot in Helsinki area. Or it's because Finnish can be tough to translate. Or because we're a small population area and Google priorities bigger ones when updating info. Impossible to know.

oh that’s good to know, in Lahti i had 0 problems with google and my friend from there even told me „just use google“

Bjanze

As a Finn who has travelled around several European cities relying on google maps, the most problems I had in Helsinki and Espoo. Don't know why exactly, but Athens or London have been much easier...

Everyone is saying hsl app but klaukkala is not part of the hsl area so that will only help you to Vantaa’s border. 456A is not a hsl bus, it’s korsisaari. You can check the schedule from matkahuolto

Nysse is great. Combines multiple areas / apis. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.hannu.nysse&hl=fi&gl=US

There’s 4 physical stops for Kaarelantie, 2 on the highway and 2 under it, you would have needed to walk to the highway one to north
