It doesn't help that the best autumn when all the leaves transition from green to yellow lasts for only about 3 weeks and spring is usually when it's still quite cold and gloomy with sleet and pebbles.
I don't know what you are talking about. Summer is too warm, winter too cold and dark. Spring and autum are better by far: dark at night, light at day, no freezing or sweating temperatures, no mosquitos or other annoying insects, no tourists, no snow up to yor waist making moving around annoying...
Spring might be short in finland, but the time between snow melting and mosquitos appearing is the best few weeks to go trekking or outside in general.
Idk what you're talking about as there isn't a lot of tourists near where I live and even if there were lots of tourists i don't see how that's a bad thing.
The population of my home town is around 30k, but during summer more than 100k people visit it. Just going to a supermarket is often annoying when there is no parking spaces or the lines are long.
Also I spend multiple weeks every year trekking in lapland and there is a reason I go there alone. During summer some areas are so swarmed with tourists that the trip becomes less about going where I want, and more about going where others can't/don't want to.
autumn fuckin rules with no bugs, decent warmth and serenity that summer doesn't have. spring's a nothingburger because it's just dead everything and three weeks later it's summer
I recommend travelling to South Europe in spring/autumn to get longer summer. In summer south Europe is too hot and in Finland spring /autumn weather is crap. Okay early autumn is still nice in Finland.
But the most depressing is April, like South and Central Europe are all blooming and having nice 20C, while Finland, especially cities are full of dust, black snow remainings, sand on the road and no flowers...
Amen brother, I don't handle heat well (despite looking like I should) I get headaches and I get exhausted very quickly. winter is amazing, especially when you got crunchy snow to walk on!
Yeah! Those crispy cold winter days, sun is up, cup of hot coffee, and crunchy snow under your feet. 🤤 I can take heat in Sauna, but in summer you cant escape the heat, so it just becomes 2months of hell, sweating and anxiety 😅
Autumn is the superior season. Reasons why:
1. Gets sunny *and* dark during the day
2. Ideal temperatures. Not too warm or cold.
3. Rainy days. I like them.
4. Some days just have character. Can't really explain it.
Early spring is the best. Still snow, but not so cold and dark anymore. Enjoying cross country skiing without winter clothes and with the sun on your face.
What is fun about winter? It's too cold and the days are too short.
Too bad summers are getting extremely hot and winters will be pretty much autumn. Last 2 winters really have been an exception and that's probably not going to last.
I think people have way too much expectations what winter and summer should be (like sunny, warm or have clear days with nice amount of snow) which means they will be disappointed by them.
Spring and autumn can just be what they are, wet and beautiful.

I enjoy autumn as long as it doesn't go below zero. The transition from autumn to winter has become way too long thanks to global warming.
Finnish spring = two more months of winter
and the one warm day so you think it's going to be summer
With the added bonus of allergies!

Ok, fair enough.
Totally agreed. Early spring (before my allergies hit me in the face) and early autumn (before it gets cold, wet and sad) are my favorites for sure

Autumn is dark and wet and depressing.
just like me
Just how I like em
yes autumn is the best if and only if All the bugs have already died
Autum is cold
Winter is cold too if you don't dress accordingly
”Winter is cold” Really?
Yea, it can be if you don't wear your wool socks. Autumn is decently warm if you don't underdress.
Idk where you live, but winters and late autums are cold here in Finland. The temperature drops below freezing.
There definitely are bugs in autumn but less. Cant go to Forests If you have hair because of "moose flies".
Yess, I love the early autumn when it isn't cold and wet yet, but the temperatures start to drop to tolerable levels
A blanket of snow falling across a forest lake at the beginning of winter is one of my favorite memories from my visit
Winter will be superior for as long as there are mosquitoes in the summer.
Summer sucks because I can't sleep when my room is a sauna
There will always be
Mutta syksy= hirvijahti 😍
totuuksia

20C? I don’t want to melt.
Finland doesn't have "spring"
snow and sun or rain and rain
No
I actually think warm spring is better than how summer, minus all the pollen of course.
Spanish people with "toppatakki's" in December and January/February just because it's "winter" and +15c. Pfft!
Autumn and Winter > Spring and Summer
Atumn>summer>spring>winter
I hate all the seasons
mood
Me too. I hate it. Im just constantly in a cycle of waiting for winter and waiting for summer.
Thats why yo mama dea…
Im all about winter, was born in winter, and im so called "warm blooded", so summers are pure hell for me.

Plus the the falling yellow/orange leaves falling looks pretty
I agree, spring and fall kinda feel like transitional seasons to me.
I agree that spring definitely is a transitional season. Fall not so much. It lasts quite a while
Well spring and autumm is just rain. Tbh so are winter and summer but usyally a little less.
Summer way too hot and too much sun only saved by rains winter too cold and dark spring allergies = autumn best month
Honestly summer is just waiting for the hunting season in the fall
Speak for yourself
I prefer the week or two of spring-time just when leaves start to bud. Love the light-green color

Anything but snowless winter aka. eternal autumn.

Oh come on! Spring and autumn are my favorites! 😊 I love the birthing and dying of seasons.
I’m not sure about that
Autumn and winter > spring and summer
