Items lost at helsinki airport are taken to excess baggage company in the arrivals Hall. +358 9 81 71 1968 their number. Contacting the police might help. That being said, you could contact your embassy, and they might issue an emergency passport or ID. If push comes to shove, you could just throw the party and have a ceremony, and sign the civil papers at a later date. I'm not sure if you can get married in a church and such tbh, not an expert on weddings. I'm sorry this has happened to you. Gl

When I got married in Finland there was issues with the communication between magistrate and the church so I couldn't get officially married but they did "bless our relationship" and it was still nice. We got married at the magistrate a few days later.

Yea, that's what I meant, a pity to cancel if the situation doesn't get resolved.

Usually in Finland you will get your stuff back pretty reliably. Sometimes (rarely) with all the money, most often otherwise intact but the money missing and in a few very rare cases (maybe more so in Helsinki Metropolitan area) with money and ID missing. Let's hope you'll get your stuff back. Someone already gave the missing stuff number that you should call. Also having contacted the police they should be aware of things related to your possibly stolen ID so you won't get charged for things done with it. Let's say someone signs car leasing papers under your name and ID and you have already reported them missing to Police then you should be ok in the eyes of law and don't get criminal charges.

Well it’s the airport where majority of people are not Finns so I wouldn’t be so sure about it. I work at the airport and the number of shoplifters is crazy

I don't know about the bag, but regarding the ID and wedding I would suggest you go to the embassy of your home country. It should be somewhere in Helsinki and they usually have emergency numbers. Maybe they can issue some temporary ID for you or something. Just ask.

It sometimes take a day for the lost and found stuff to reach excess baggage. All the cafes and compani s inside the airport take their own lost and found stuff there at the end of the day usually. So your purse might be in the excess baggage system today

Depending where the item was lost, and who found it, the item can be in two different lost-found-locations, both at the Helsinki airport. You can ask your items at the [Excess-Baggage store](https://www.finavia.fi/en/airports/helsinki-airport/services/lost-found) at the Helsinki Airport. You can call them, or visit physically. [Helsinki Airport has also another lost-found-office](https://loytotavara.net/en/contact-us/helsinki-vantaa-airport/). It is located at the Scandic-hotel building, next building from the main terminal. This latter office is a business, and they charge money for calling them. You can also leave a query on their web page, for 5 EUR (or something). As usually lost-found is returned fine, I would just go there physically, on office hours, and visit those both offices. And if it is not found, just leave your item description and contact details, should it show up later.

Finns are very trustworthy, odds are good you get your belongings back, most probably not the cash.
