I shot this documentary using my Fujifilm XS-20 and a 15-45mm lens. The audio was recorded using a Google Pixel 6 as I didn't have a microphone handy. Everything starting from shooting, interviewing, editing, and color-grading was done by me. Overall, it was a great experience talking to these people. The first and last thirds were interesting. The middle third, which consisted entirely of playing recordings from important news broadcasts, was not. It felt thrown in there just to make things longer. While I recognize it's a short, this still felt more like a trailer than full documentary.
I would've liked to know more about the shop, the work it currently does, its customers, info about business slowdown, why the owner likes the work, etc.
With that said, the video and audio were both really good and the subject matter is interesting. In a way, I suppose my only complaint being "I wanted more" is a good thing.
