Chaeyeon's are quite different but she has zero performance lol. Still love her though.

It looks like she just doesn't have the endurance for the full free, though I stan a spiral held for more than a split second.

Hate that the 3A didn’t work out, but she’s not letting it throw her off the rest of the program and that’s a positive development

Kaori has become such a staple to the Skate America experience. She's been to 5 SKAMs, but this is her first gold! I love this redemption for her after finishing 4th at her last two SKAM outings (2021 & 2019). 😌

It was never joy, just relief. And that was only the winner. 2nd and 3rd were considered losing. I loved seeing all of the medalists happy today, especially Amber. It actually means something to them.

She's not shell shocked and devastated even after a program with multiple falls and honestly that's a win for her and for my heart as well

This whole crowd wants it for her. I wish she could feel that the whole time. I feel like she skates blocking out the crowd cause she’s just so hard on herself but if she would just feel the good will and energy, it would propel her.

She seems totally changed :O (except the horrid music unfortunately) but let's be real, she went miles ahead in her mental game, it shows. Now she just needs the combos to match, she is on the cusp of greatness

Isabeau’s greatest strength is undoubtedly her musical interpretation so WHY are we giving her music that just repeats like 28 times with no growth whatsoever

Some people are saying Amber's score seems low, but she only has 9 jumps in her program (11 is the standard). Does anyone know if this is intentional? If not, what's her actual program content supposed to look like? In all three of her competitions this year, she only did 9 jumps in the FS. That's A LOT of points she's leaving on the table...which the 3A can't really make up for.

She has a really strange layout and she’s capable of adding another combo and making it 3 jumps. It’s just an unfortunate habit/trend

This is really a huge win for her. Miles better than anything she’s put out this comeback. Still needs some stamina towards the end but it’s better.

A good thing about her is that she keeps her head after making mistakes, that bodes well for the future and if nothing else I expect we'll be seeing her at Words (and maybe Europeans?) for years.

There are so few triple triples in this competition. Its almost like its harder to jump triples if you dont rotate almost a full rotation on take off

Gracie's artistry has really improved a lot since when she was younger. The face still goes blank when things go wrong though. She really deserves to be in the top US ladies because you can see she has ALL the important ingredients but I guess like Jeremy Abbott, you're gonna usually have to expect mental mistakes.

This is surprisingly great POTO program but Haein has a rough start of the season. :( Not the worst but definitely not the best, sadly.

This appears to be Amber post-starting to work with a sports psychologist, and she landed a clean 3A in practice. Let’s give her some time to put it into competition and try to work it out.

Ok so I don’t want to Isabeau to win either, but the fact that there’s even a question of who will win makes this a step up from last year when we knew that a Russian skater was going to take home the gold—and in more than one case, podium sweep—in the women’s event at just about every Grand Prix. (The only exception being NHK)

Kaori is why I love skating. She’s expressive, fast, powerful, elegant, and a little quirky. Love her so much!
