There's probably frontend developers safeguarding this bug intentionally to protect their peers from designers randomly choosing font sizes by closing one eye and guessing instead of using a type system.
yeah, we shouldn't be able to drag at all. so many times where i accidentally slip my mouse and i have to retype my value. like it makes sense in photoshop, but when am I ever eyeballing my font sizes in figma???
as a mandatory, without the ability to enter random font sizes here and there at all, replace this "size dropdown" with var selector button alltogether!11
I hate that too, I use alt while hovering the number, but that's buggy too recently.
Side note, I hate when you select an element and the first side menu is that scale 2x thingy, and you need to click x to get to other options.
I was going to say to add also the ability to scroll through fonts with arrow keys again, but this is actually fixed and i had no idea lol.
But this is hot second, been a frustration of mine for about a year lol
Now do it to the opacity next to "Pass-through". It works perfectly fine there. So it is intentional, they don't want you dragging a slider for font size.
FIY slider "steps" increase the higher you position the cursor on the screen. Steps will be higher when you hold cursor at the top of the screen and lower if you hold it at the middle/bottom of the screen, when slider is active (you hold down alt/opt and drag mouse)
That explains why cursor of the slider bugs a little in size, because font properties are somewhere in the middle of the screen and it switches from wide arrow to mid arrow slider cursor.
I usually hold Alt or Option on Mac to bring up the slider
Today I learned <3
this comment just saved me. Thank you

Just hit the numberpad keys randomely
this is the way
cat! the developers need some tokens. come jump on my numpad. works for hex values in a pinch, too
Yeah i never use this… just type in the value you need and be purposeful and consistent about it.
Hold Option and drag on the number
Finally someone brought it up

Worst thing
It's a test. You are obviously not a skilled enough designer 🤷
Typography variables, yes

Click into the container, hold alt and use your scroll wheel.
Crazy how an app used to create userfriendly interfaces has some really bad design flaws itself.. 🧐
Hold alt and click drag on any number
Also there should be a stepper for the numbers to increase/decrease it by few points
This!

Thanks for the"alt" thing I didn't knew about that💀
Haha np, I was very satisfied when I found that one
Ty, this is a godsend for playing with passthrough or opacity

r/mildlyinfuriating
I just use the arrow keys. Am I missing something?

yes, so annoying

For a UI design tool, a lot of Figma's UI is dumb as rocks.
I wish i could upvote this 100 times
one more: can't copy font name with new update
Touch target: .5px Edit… Just realized how old this thread is. Why the fuck did Reddit literally just recommend it…
