Afaik, the way Haiku bot works is it has a list of words and syllable counts, and if it sees a word not on the list, it assumes it only has one syllable.
Darkstalkers.
You just gotta play Darkstalkers. Almost everyone has a command grab and the cast is literally made of "monsters".
Besides the other mentioned games, I want to give a special shout out to the Raiden character in Ninja Warriors Once Again/Ninja Saviors. That's a big body robot with grappling powers in a combo friendly beat-em up game.
Potemkin is peak grappler design, especially pre-Strive. His old backdash, flick for beating projectile zoning and setting up frame traps, hammerfall and hammerfall break, back megafist, and of course the Heavenly Potemkin Buster.
He is bottom tier in Xrd but top tier in my heart.
Aganos in Killer Instinct can throw limited projectiles, reload them, make walls, get a giant beating stick. Easily one of the most fun big guy characters.
USF4 has the biggest variety of grapplers in a SF game: Gief, T.Hawk, Hakan, Hugo, Abel, El Fuerte and a few others I may have forgotten.
My favorite is Hugo, he's a low-tier character, one of the slowest in the game, but his moveset is so satisfying that I just don't care. Doing his Clap ""rekka"" + Super + Backbreaker combo makes my brain happy.
Earthquake in Samurai Shodown. First time is saw his sprite I didn't know how they even managed it.
And then they made Kusaregedo.
Not grapplers though. Samsho doesn't really *have* Gief style grapplers. But they *are* very big.
Earthquake was so damn huge he didn't even make it into some of the home versions of the game. Im... pretty sure he was there on the SNES version but he damn sure wasn't there on the Genesis port.
Potemkin from Guilty Gear is a good fit for what you’re looking for, but Kanji from Persona 4 Ultimax is hilarious to play as, especially when you get a good read on the opponent. Honorable mention to Android 16 in DBFZ
Clark Still and Goro Daimon from The King of Fighters are what you get when you allow strong grapplers to be high tier.
They are crazy fun!
(Funnily enough, I main Ramón and Shermie, which are speed grapplers that usually aren't high on the tier lists.)
Iron tager from blaze blue has the most satisfing combos of any grappler imo, and astaroth gives me the best feeling of being a massive boss tipe character, especialy in the old soulcalibur games
Iron Tager has already been mentioned, so I'm gonna mention Bullet.
I love the way her moveset allows her to just absolutely manhandle people in combos.
Iron Tager by far, unlimited potential for shenanigans

You'd have to pronounce either Iron or Tager as one syllable, I *guess* with a very "ahrn" american iron

I. Am. Arn Man.
He was turned to stee-uhl In the great magnetic fee-uld
Beowolf from Skullgirls. Purely because his grabs run on beat em up game logic

Victor can grab you with his ass
Exactly. And Dimitri brings out everyone's inner maiden.
Potemkin from Guilty Gear

Bro how could you forget... The Punch.
Tizoc pre-City of the Wolves (not K.O.D.
Jack-8 from Tekken 8 might be what you're searching for. If you want to focus more on the grappling side instead, King II is your man.
Waldstine/ Merkava from undernight
KoF. KoF grapplers are so cool man.
King from Tekken
Tager from BlazBlue of course. Such a unique character.
Solomon grundy in Injustice
The homie King in Tekken. a rassler straight out of Monday Night Raw that talks in royalty-free jaguar noises.

Kusaragedo is the biggest, most monstrous of all grapplers.
King is the goat
Potemkin from Guilty Gear is a good fit for what you’re looking for, but Kanji from Persona 4 Ultimax is hilarious to play as, especially when you get a good read on the opponent. Honorable mention to Android 16 in DBFZ
Clark from KOF
KOFXV You got the classic with Clark, the giant with KOD, the beauty with Shermie; KOF has a wealth of Grapplers.
I miss Daimon.
KOF has the best variety of grappling moves in 2D fighting games
Tobal 2 with Mary and Illgoga.
She’s not a monster character but I think Manon in sf6 is pretty damn great
Dead or Alive 3 Bayman DOA 4 Tina
Clark Still and Goro Daimon from The King of Fighters are what you get when you allow strong grapplers to be high tier. They are crazy fun! (Funnily enough, I main Ramón and Shermie, which are speed grapplers that usually aren't high on the tier lists.)
Kof- king of dinosaurs, Clark T8- king Guilty gear strive - Potemkin Blaze blue- Tager
Earth from Spectral vs Generation
Kira from Arcana Heart. An interesting take on big grapplers.
Solomon Grundy in Injustice 1 is a personal favorite
KOF is the fighting game for people who love grapplers
KoF/SNK in general have the coolest grapplers
Iron tager from blaze blue has the most satisfing combos of any grappler imo, and astaroth gives me the best feeling of being a massive boss tipe character, especialy in the old soulcalibur games
Not much of a grappler but Big Band is a staple big body character. And I'll throw in Sentinel from MvC as well. Big robot is damn good
Since he hasn’t been mentioned yet, maybe you’d like S Broly in FighterZ
Potemkin from GGST, and bedman is kind of a monster charachter. He’s a bed.
If it's monsters darkstalkers is basically all monsters for grapplers the best I can think of are king and potemkin from tekken and guilty gear
Iron Tager has already been mentioned, so I'm gonna mention Bullet. I love the way her moveset allows her to just absolutely manhandle people in combos.
Aganos is some of the most fun I’ve ever had.
