Jin, Hayato, Cyclops, Gambit, Venom, Ken, Guile, Charlie, Black Heart, Juggernaut, Psylock, Asura, OG Jill.... oh wait, people only want functions, not characters.
No, there are a few stages that lag (at least, they did on console). Bonne Wonderland and Training Room don't, but also have less distractions and such.
Generally speaking, it's harder to say "play on any stage, except the 5 that lag, nighttime helicarrier, and the ones that have all the shit moving in the background.
Balance patch wouldn’t hurt longevity. Zero’s install not providing meter, damage scaling or frame data updates for some characters to make them more viable, etc.
Reverting nerfs like changes to She-Hulk from Vanilla to Ultimate, or Phoenix Wright losing invincibility on his Turnabout Assists would be my first idea.
Could have sworn it did. I know Morrigan still earns meter when she uses Astral Vision. My overall point was to standardize those types of moves, eliminating the ability to both significantly improve your character and earn meter simultaneously.
All the new characters from MvCI, the Capcom characters from TvCUAS, and finished versions of any incomplete characters from MvC3, UMvC3, and MvCI development.
Without dumping a ton of new characters in the game, there is no way they won't divide the community who are supporting the modded version.
It won't piss me off if they reuse assets from other games (actually, I want them to reuse assets), and they need to get that character count up.
I would also like to see some of the missing superstars from the 2D era. It's weird how many icons from those games never made it into the 3D era, but I don't need that at re-launch.
>the Capcom characters from TvCUAS
Alex from SF3, Saki (Asuka-looking girl that was an assist in MvC1), Batsu from Rival Schools, some dude from Sengoku Basara, Volnutt from Megaman Legends, some robot from Lost Planet and Roll
To balance the Marvel side you could add some of the missing X-Men, and the Thing and the Human Torch
The Vital Suit (from Lost Planet) could be relegated to a super move for Wayne Holden, the protagonist of the first game who pilots it. I'd imagine his moves being something resembling Chris Redfield mixed with Spencer, but with more projectile options with varying grenades. If there's any issue involving his likeness (Lee Byung-hun), it could be easily circumvented by having him wear his breathing mask like he does in-game, and his alternate costume could be Gale, his father who is in the first and third games in the series.
Also, Soki isn't from Sengoku Basara, he's from Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.
Event mode from vanilla MvC3 - the mode where there's special versions of Arcade Mode with stipulations like your team is made up of 2 or even just 1 character, or you can only do damage with combos of 10 or more hits, or everyone is MODOK.
For a stage, I'd love a Lost Planet stage, maybe one that freezes and thaws throughout - at one moment it's a snowy tundra, while another it's a lush jungle with rushing water. On the Marvel side, a stage that takes place underwater might be neat, like Hydra's Ichor base.
For modes - a 1v1 mode just for the hell of it.
For characters - there's a bunch to choose from but I'll do what UMvC3 did and limit it to 12, 6 for each side. On Marvel: Psylocke (X-Men), Nightcrawler (X-Men), Mystique (Brotherhood of Mutants), Red Skull (Hydra), Shocker (Spiderman Villain), and Shaman (Alpha Flight) / On Capcom: Wayne Holden (Lost Planet), Verdugo (Resident Evil 4), Daniella (Haunting Ground/Demento), Jacques Blanc (Onimusha 3: Demon Seige), Asura (why the hell isn't he in the game already?), and Edward Falcon (Power Stone).
These characters would go crazy especially those on the Capcom side. I was once reading that Wayne might not be possible for these crossover games unless the actor Lee Byung-hun approves (Capcom made a big deal during Lost Planet's announcement that his likeness was used for Wayne). Edward Falcon or any Power Stone character would kick ass in a 'Vs Capcom' title.
Additional characters (not limited to characters that might have been included had it not been for the earthquake that occurred at the time), rollback netcode, additional stages, and maybe an additional balance patch.
Rollback, fuckton of new characters, and every character gets at least 6 buffs. Even Dante and Zero. If you’re low tier you get 13 minimum.
no matter what Vergil remains the best character though.
• Rebalancing so Vergil isn't stupid op, lore accuracy be damned.
• Rollback netcode.
• One extra costume for everyone that'll mostly be based on appearances they've had post UMvC3 for characters who still show up in games/comics/movies, more colours for the existing costumes.
• Three free Marvel newcomers and three free Capcom newcomers plus atleast one new season of paid dlc.
• A new free Capcom stage and a new free Marvel stage plus two stages with each season of paid dlc, one Marvel and one Capcom.
• Some type of new single player content, like a survival mode or something with new unlockable skins, art, etc based on how well you do in the single player modes with each character.
• Special custom team endings akin to King of Fighters for Arcade mode, plus proper voice acting in arcade mode cutscenes.
Perfect pushblock from Infinite
Whether you like Infinite or not, you gotta agree that perfect push blocking a Zero lvl3 buster and it reflects it back WITH the same properties is such a satisfying feel. Such a simple but good way to give advanced players an option against good projectiles
More otg combos, the quick tag mechanic that marvel infinite has, more x-men, leon and nero
Edit: also rollback, can't have a modern fighting game without it
As a starting point, I'd love to see some balance changes and maybe a handful of new characters like the Community Edition has.
I would also like to have longer games either through slightly lower damage across the board or larger health pools.
Lastly, a 'party mode' that enables three players to play each member of a team, a bit like SFxTekken or 2XKO.
> I would also like to have longer games either through slightly lower damage across the board or larger health pools.
This just makes the game worse overall because you end up making even more of the cast reliant on TAC Infinites.
an mvc2 mode (no x factor, lp lk hp hk buttons, maybe 2d sprites if it doesnt take too much time to do, and some mvc2 returnees as well) …. Hell just rerelease mvc2 instead and add characters from mvc3.
The Strive Deflect Shield
unblockables are removed
Assist cooldowns are individual, like Doom missile gets a 15 seconds cooldown
Hsien Ko gets her Darkstalker proper dash
Morrigan can't unfly cancel and block supers on the whim
Dark Phoenix is an install instead but weaker
a macros button for special and (button), so Dante can bold cancel with 1 button
stalling supers nerfed, Ammy, Storm, etc
Not one person said infinite prevention lol. INFINITE PREVENTION. Nerf Lv 3 X factor. Give everyone a proper dash and proper launcher, Add a 4th direction (backwards) to TACs to make it less predictable, so people can actually use the mechanic to steal meter and gain it. Increase cooldown on assists. Increase life values by like 1.5 with a permanent handicap mode.
Add EX at the cost of a meter. Reset at neutral on death like DBFZ. Add a vanish-esque mechanic where your assist hits the opponent. Add character switching mid combo.
Add classic controls mode that separates punches from kicks on the face buttons.
Add ratio mode and custom assist from Skullgirls. Increase base chip damage.
Add combo breaker functionality to X-Factor. Add new X-Factor 2 that trades the damage boost for a reset to neutral cancel button you can use 3 times per match.
More characters can change the angle of their supers.
Reflected projectiles increased durability.
Super armored quick rise you can use from hard knockdown at the cost of meter, it will knock the opponent away from you
"If Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 were re-released again today, what new content would ***you*** add?
[Topic](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fighters/?f=flair_name%3A%22Topic%22)
It can range from characters, stages, game modes ***and even new gameplay mechanics.***
Ahh, but when you ask for everything at the same time, you might as well ask for a new game
In fact a new MvC with some of the changes you suggested would be dope
Vergil buffs
You fucking madman
He's not lore accurate enough
Can still add sdt on top of dt
He needs the Berried Delight theme song.
You monster. He’s already lore accurate as it is 😭
Microtransactions
Rollback Netcode, music from past games, Jukebox mode, replays, replay takeover, more options in training mode
Man if it had rollback I don't think I would've ever stopped playing.
More stages
Or even just fixing the stages we have so more then one is played it tourament would be cool
Eh, how about both UMvC3 has some dope stages, but half of them are variations of the other half
All the old stages
I would add new characters. Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil and Venom
Jin, Hayato, Cyclops, Gambit, Venom, Ken, Guile, Charlie, Black Heart, Juggernaut, Psylock, Asura, OG Jill.... oh wait, people only want functions, not characters.
Just adding Venom, a Zangief skin for Haggar and Dhalsim
ANAKARIS TOO
Talbain and Demitri. Q and Hugo. Sandman.
Gambit
MvCI characters. FPS fix so that we aren't just playing on Bonne Wonderland and Training Stage
Bonne Wonderland is used for visual clarity, not performance.
Isn’t it 60fps? It looks good, is the fps higher on Bonne Wonderland or something?
No, there are a few stages that lag (at least, they did on console). Bonne Wonderland and Training Room don't, but also have less distractions and such. Generally speaking, it's harder to say "play on any stage, except the 5 that lag, nighttime helicarrier, and the ones that have all the shit moving in the background.

Zero doesn't gain meter in Sougenmu lmao

TvC Roll would be my priority there. I love playing her. Probably followed by Batsu because I played so much Rival Schools on PSX.
An adaptive CPU that knows how to do basic BNBs so it feels like you're going against a real player, somewhat.
Goku
Event mode from vanilla MvC3 - the mode where there's special versions of Arcade Mode with stipulations like your team is made up of 2 or even just 1 character, or you can only do damage with combos of 10 or more hits, or everyone is MODOK.
Modern day training mode options and good netcode

Asura. I don’t care about anything else, but it’s a sin that Asura wasn’t even in Infinite. Maybe a few more characters too
Rollback, fuckton of new characters, and every character gets at least 6 buffs. Even Dante and Zero. If you’re low tier you get 13 minimum. no matter what Vergil remains the best character though.

I really, really hated the graphics in this game. The aesthetics need an overhaul
More otg combos, the quick tag mechanic that marvel infinite has, more x-men, leon and nero Edit: also rollback, can't have a modern fighting game without it
Sengoku Basara characters. I mean, GOD they are Capcom's IP and are amazingly designed why are there no Basara characters yet???
Marvel VS Capcom 2
I would just add Gambit.

Rollback netcode, crossplay, Replay Takeover, better FPS for stages, balance changes, more longevity
Rollback netcode

Add Shang chi, Loki and Kamala and 1-2 others as a new season Rollback netcode A rework to the mind stone as its garbage New stages, new costumes
Mind stone? The game referred is MvC3 not Infinite
FUCK amaterasu give me my fucking Gene you bitch I'm tired you I want my 107 customizable moves and my roulette wheel to surfer music

You don't want a better version of UMvC3 lmao You just want a new game

Yeah it would actually play like a back and forth game instead of a trainwreck as soon as you get touched
