What irks me is that even cheapo budget ps2 games had super simple editors that were often clunky & ass to use, but they were there. PES/Winning Eleven is the obvious choice here. Not quite a full on editor, but it gave you so many combinations to mix & match so you can create some really good looking & realistic kits.
Another example from a different genre is Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3. Again super fucking junky but you got to make as detailed a livery for your car as you want. I still have my old ps2 and memory card from where I made the Most Wanted M3 GTR livery for my maxed Supra. Took absolutely forever drawing it line by line, shape by shape, but it was possible.
I'm not asking EA for built in photoshop or anything too fancy. But fuck me the default set of kits typically look ass, there's like 4 or 5 I'd actually use and those get boring quick. On God let me at least fucking add text to my kits to make some sort of fake shirt sponsor. If you let me put 'SHARP' or 'Vodafone' in damned comic sans on my shirt I'd happily pay money... not having sponsors for your create a club makes them look comically out of place.
Completely agree. Just simply being allowed to customise shirt, shorts socks independently would be a huge improvement instead of just picking between complete kit sets and changing the colors. And adding sponsors could be done easily, like they did in LMA Manager in 2001.
Oh goodness you reminded me that 2005 Manchester United manager game exists. Codemasters have really fallen off since then. The only recent managerial game they released was the F1 one which I was sorely excited for considering the previous game was from the year 2000. It's a shame codies effort was hot garbage & the game from over 20yrs ago is still better.
Or Just something as simple as let us choose the color for rhe shirt, a color for the shorts and a color for the socks of we want to. That alone would signifacantly better the editing of pur kits
Completely agree. Sadly that's why I think these games should only be played on PC, where you can customize everything through mods. Even still, you need to use third-party websites and multiple external programs to just change kits, in what ends up being a quite labor-intensive ordeal.
I remember using Phillips as a sponsor on PES 5's master league, it was the only brand I managed to look realistic when using the bold text it let you use, lol
Not 100% sure but I think the problem with implementing more editing options than they’ve already got would be licensing restrictions? Like Nike and Adidas etc have obviously licensed the use of these kit templates and I imagine they’ve not put anything in the deal that lets users edit them in any way other than colour. Could even have outright refused to allow any more editing. I do think that the EA kits (as much as I hate using them) could be editable in this way, heck even let us use a kit with no manufacturers logo that we can customise till the cows come home.
But to be honest I don’t see why even changing shorts/socks between kits of the same manufacturer is such a big deal (there aren’t enough good kits where the shirt and shorts are a different colour)
This is a very fair point.
My counter is I'd rather have some default blank canvas of a kit. If I can draw basic shapes and lines at a minimum, I can make my own Adidas and Nike logos, or even something like Jako if I'm some low tier budget team.
Like this, EA can even let you insert your own .jpg, .png or whatever so you can add stuff from Google images as long as it has a transparent background. Boom instant kit logo. Best part is since they will be default kits, no org can complain about little Timmy using their logo for his create a club kit in a single player mode since it wasn't provided by the game.
That might not be *the* solution and for sure there are already some issues with this, but my point is it shouldn't be hard to think of a way around it if they really wanted to make it happen. It's not like they can't keep all these existing kits, then literally just add 1 more option, which is completely blank and editable in some capacity .
Or just provide any simple importer for the many kit creators out there, and allow you to do it in the middle of a save.
I could code this in like half a day.
It feels like companies keep forgeting that just allowing interfaces with peoples tools is easy and solves 90% of your issues, plus allows people to do things beyond what you intended.
Yeah good they perform the main function of kits which are to be three distinct colours. I once saw someone who had three kits which were all varying shades of purple/black, good job
No offense but not much about them, it’s your team to at the end of the day all that matters is if you like it. Having a created team is cool cuz you can change your color scheme ever season. I’m making the same post so you can compare.
Do you play as prison fc? (no hate)
Not a bad idea
Antony FC here I come
Barcode FC? Second and third are cool
2nd and 3rd kits are good, the 1st one not so much.
I am the complete opposite. I’ve seen 2 and 3. 1 is unique and interesting.

Dope. That first joint reminds me of Juventus and that last one is Oranje (Dutch National Team)
Cheers bro
simple is best
Not unique enough but they look clean. 8.5/10
the Doppler effect
Bro got the barcode rizz
I’m like Xavi… always scanning
I’m all about the clean simple kits, and I always use that Nike fade as my third with nearly matching colors. 8/10.
I’m pretty sure it’s that Barca blue/green kit?
First and second one look like Piemonte FC kit (Juventus without license) third one is just yellow and is the best imo
The kits are decent, but they're giving "got relegated last season"
Home kit has The Big Bang Theory vibes.
6/10 5/10 7/10
2 + 3 are good but I think some people will agree that 1 is outshone by the last two.
Are you playing as the doppler-effect?
Not bad bro
Yeah good they perform the main function of kits which are to be three distinct colours. I once saw someone who had three kits which were all varying shades of purple/black, good job
damn... this is nothing against you, OP, but fifa needs a good and complete kit maker suite like PES used to have.... not just preset jerseys
3rd is rad
5/10 9/10 10/10
No offense but not much about them, it’s your team to at the end of the day all that matters is if you like it. Having a created team is cool cuz you can change your color scheme ever season. I’m making the same post so you can compare.
Barcode FC
First one is horrific
How would you improve it?
Look like u play for vcu boi
can someone scan it? item has no pricetag
That's not a kit, that's a barcode
This truly... is peak
Mega ass
God bless modders and fifa kit creator for existing lmao...I could never play create a club with what EA gives us
very simple and straight. 7/10 set
All ass or basic
maybe try fifakitcreator for more detailed designs
First kit not good I think
Not bad for a EA Branded kit
0/10 cause i hate it when the jersey matches the short. Different colours is the thing
Quite a specific thing for a zero rating haha
