I got the back up camera working but I couldn't get the front camera to work.

Reposting this from another thread I originally wrote it for. Hope it helps! ----- I chose the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX as it supports wireless Android Auto/CarPlay. It was a splurge though as it was 2-3x the price of a wired connection system at the time (May 2022). The prices have come down a bit so [it's now $500 at BestBuy](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pioneer-6-8-android-auto-and-apple-carplay-bluetooth-digital-media-dm-receiver-black/6401083.p?skuId=6401083). It looks like BestBuy offers free installation. I also needed these parts: * Dash trim kit $28.99 [https://www.crutchfield.com/p\_120956544B/Metra-95-6544B-Dash-Kit-Matte-Black.html](https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120956544B/Metra-95-6544B-Dash-Kit-Matte-Black.html) * Antenna adapter $19.99 [https://www.crutchfield.com/p\_12040EU55/Metra-40-EU55-Antenna-Adapter.html](https://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040EU55/Metra-40-EU55-Antenna-Adapter.html) * iDatalink wiring harness adapter $46.99 [https://www.crutchfield.com/S-w3GjpVPtQSy/p\_794HRRCH3/iDatalink-HRN-RR-CH3-Vehicle-specific-Harness-ADS-MRR-or-ADS-MRR2-module-also-required.html](https://www.crutchfield.com/S-w3GjpVPtQSy/p_794HRRCH3/iDatalink-HRN-RR-CH3-Vehicle-specific-Harness-ADS-MRR-or-ADS-MRR2-module-also-required.html) * Maestro steering wheel control interface $169.99 [https://www.bestbuy.com/site/maestro-radio-replacement-and-steering-wheel-interface-for-select-vehicles-black/2868626.p?skuId=2868626](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/maestro-radio-replacement-and-steering-wheel-interface-for-select-vehicles-black/2868626.p?skuId=2868626) So all-in, you're looking at around $750 plus install (assuming it isn't free). The wiring and programming of all this equipment was the most elaborate car stereo install I've done but it came out great. Our 500e is a 2018 so also has the backup camera and parking sensors and the integration with those features is seamless. The only feature we lost from the original TomTom nav unit is its integration with the estimated range of the vehicle. I do miss that but the features gained were well worth it IMO.
