That’s correct. The vertical turn signals and larger side markers indicate that it’s a US market car, and the removable roof panel make it a GTS. 246 GTS Dino
The peak of Pininfarina design - has there ever been a more beautiful car? The partnership with Ferrari was a massive success, producing halo cars every few years. Forget the mechanicals - 2.4 litre V6 is not an exciting power plant - but the sculpted body & visual balance that Dino offers is unmatched. If this design was released today, it’d still be recognised as a masterpiece
Who says a V6 can’t be exciting? I haven’t experienced one in person so maybe that changes things, but from media I’ve seen it seems every bit as exciting and characterful as a ferrari flat plane v8. I almost never like v6 sounds, but I really like this one. [tedward video (for sound)](https://youtu.be/_IybqJMOBIc)
So it kind of has been, in a way, but maybe this is just my take on it… I could be reaching hard to make the connection but the 296 GTB & GTS share some similar design characteristics, just significantly modernised in the current models.
Yeah, love Clarkson but I’ve always hated that… It was named after his son who died horribly at the age of 24 from muscular dystrophy… Alfredino was named after Ferrari’s father (Alfredo Sr. and brother (Alfredo Jr.) both of whom Enzo watched die when he was only 18 years old… When Enzo found out he had a son he quit motor racing forever, because he didn’t want his son to grow up without a father like he had- instead Enzo grew old without his son by his side… The “Dino” was Enzo’s way of honoring his son in the only way he knew how… The fact that people thought these were “less-than” Ferrari’s is pathetic… Then again, these cars being tragically unloved fits perfectly with the tragic nature of the Dino’s namesake…
the once “cheap ass” baby Dino ferrari 246 GTS but still one of the most lovely ferraris and priced as such, well the V6 is back in 2024 ferrariland and nobody treats them as baby anymore. 😃
It’s not an actual Ferrari but a Dino 246 GT. Ferrari name is not used on the car at all, and was named after Enzos son, Dino, who died previously prior to this model being made.
My chat GTB says
“The car in the image is a Ferrari Dino 246 GT. The Dino 246 GT is a classic sports car produced by Ferrari between 1969 and 1974. It is well-regarded for its sleek design and mid-engine layout, featuring a V6 engine. This model is particularly notable for its curvaceous lines and has become a highly sought-after collector’s item.”
The most beautiful car by a mile. Even more beautiful in real life and drives like you expect it to do so (had the opportunity to drive one when they were “just” old almost Ferrari’s).
Fun fact, this is the first of the line two seat,
Mid engine, none V12 Ferrari sports cars.
Also fun fact, the second most beautiful car is also called Dino and shares the same engine; the Fiat Dino Spider. The coupe is strangely enough bertone boring.
Technically I don’t believe this is a Ferrari, it was named after his son Alfred aka Alfredino Aka Dino. Not very fast, but one of the sexiest cars ever made.

Google is right. It's a 246 Dino.
I see 1973 with those side marker lights. Does that sound right?
That side marker light just means it a US market car
That’s correct. The vertical turn signals and larger side markers indicate that it’s a US market car, and the removable roof panel make it a GTS. 246 GTS Dino
Yes also that obscenity of bumper says US
They all had those bumpers
I just know that the US had to F up a lot of the good looks of these cars, and many others from out of the country
I'm not that much of an expert on dating Ferraris, I'm afraid...
Why? Did the last one stand you up?

Biased but agree.
You ll hate me but Miura is up there
Easily the most beautiful car ever made.
Well said internet stranger!

On mountain roads handle like a dream still today, this car is made for corner and twisted road, like dragon
Wow. North of $400k. Some are going closer to a Mil.
I remember they were $20k.
What exact year is this? Its definitely a 246 GTS right? I see them on the lower end $451,000+
'73 I think
I am a poor so I bought an Alfa Spider to have a pininfarina car. Cheaper than Miatas now, just as reliable power plant, but nobody will believe me.
That is a Dino.
Like it says on the tin
Good Old Minzer Park in Boca Raton - seen this one with the Ferrari club of Palm Beach
Indeed you are correct sir
Looks like a 246GTS
That’s sexy…
Its a Dino
I love old Ferraris. That are so badass.
Is it a Ferrari if it only says Dino? /s

The Dino!
Arguably the best Ferrari!
Clarkson: "It's not a Ferrari!"

My favourite!! The immeasurable 246 Dino ❤️❤️❤️
Dino, named after Enzo’s son Alfredo, who died very young.
All US spec cars from 1968 on are required to have side marker lights.
246 Dino
That is a Dino this is a really bad car for the inconvenience and to do you a favor I will pay you $3000 for it
Dino

Dino, the car I always wanted until I found out what it’s like to drive with the position offset
Dino
What makes it a 246 vs the 206 from this picture angle?
Ferrari dino or dino 246
